Former Border Patrol Union Chief Blasts Harris Over Failed Handling of Immigration Crisis

Former Border Patrol union President Brandon Judd ripped into Vice President Kamala Harris for her failure to do her job and solve the immigration crisis.

Back in 2021 when President Joe Biden ascended to the White House, Harris was put in charge of the border as the administration's "border czar," a position at which she did not succeed.

Instead of visiting the southern border, Harris launched a tour of South America in order to learn more about the "root causes" of mass immigration.

The tour was highly publicized, and Democrats hailed Harris for her brilliance and shamed Republicans for their backward talk of shutting down the border instead of flying around to different countries.

Fast-forward to today and Harris is now running for president, and Democrats are desperately trying to memory-hole her role as border czar with many media outlets outright lying about her position.

Total Failure

Just months after Biden was sworn into office, the rush on the border was on. Biden was clear about his open borders ideas, and immigrants knew that with Trump gone it was time to cross into the United States.

This came as a surprise to no one, and within months the crisis had exploded. In March 2021, Biden assigned Harris to tackle the issue.

In a statement announcing her appointment as border czar, Biden said, "The vice president has agreed -- among the multiple other things that I have her leading, and I appreciate it -- agreed to lead our diplomatic effort to work with those nations to accept returnees and enhance migration enforcement at their borders."

So, in the following months what did Harris do? Well, she sent $4 billion to help Central American countries address what she called the "root causes" of illegal migration. In all likelihood, those billions of dollars were likely pocketed by corrupt actors.

What she didn't do was anything that experts recommended. Border Patrol agents wanted the borders closed and the policies of the Trump administration kept in place. That didn't work for the Biden administration, and the crisis only got worse under Harris.

In a statement to Fox News, Judd stated, "It’s very disappointing. We gave her the policies that she needed to implement. She refused to implement those."

White House Covering Up Harris's Record

Harris has already demonstrated that she can't solve the border crisis and shouldn't be trusted with anything else, either. The White House recognizes this, and that is why the Democrat Party is going into overdrive to cover up her ugly past.

Immigration and border will be a key issue in November's election with many voters finding Trump's message on immigration more than convincing.

Harris has to try and persuade those voters to support her even though she's the one who has overseen this entire disaster. There is still some time for Harris to surprise the nation, but this task may be too much even with the assistance of the mainstream media.
