PA Democrat accuses Gov. Josh Shapiro of sexism, harassment coverup

Vice President Kamala Harris is likely freaking out over the recent news about Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Considering that Shapiro is thought to be one of Harris’ top running mate options, it is not outlandish to assume Harris probably is not pleased with what has happened.

Democratic Pennsylvanian Erin McClelland, a treasurer nominee, took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to let it fly.

“I want a VP pick that’s secure enough to be second under a woman, is content to be VP & won’t undermine the President to maneuver his own election & doesn’t sweep sexual harassment under the rug,” McClelland said in her recent X post.

While McClelland did not call Shapiro out directly, it was obvious what she was talking about.

Back in 2023, a female employee of Shapiro’s team accused legislative liaison Mike Vereb of sexual harassment.

The scandal ended in a nearly $300,000 settlement paid the woman by Shapiro’s office that was all very hush hush.

Even the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote that McClelland was “likely referring to a sexual harassment scandal in Shapiro’s office last year” in her post on X.

McClelland also went on to say that if she was in Harris’ shoes, she “would think very strongly about the difficulties that some women experience being in a top-level position, and having men around them that have to be satisfied with being second, third or answering to a woman.”

McClelland is right.

How is Harris truly considering someone for the role of vice president of the United States who so obviously does not respect women?

Is Shapiro magically going to become accustomed to the idea of having a woman for his boss?

Considering all the left-leaning media has done to paint former President Donald Trump as a woman-hating sexist, it would truly be ironic if Harris chose someone like Shapiro for the role of V.P.

There is no way choosing SHAPIRO as her VP candidate would end well for Harris. Then again, are there ANY options that seem like they might increase Harris' chances this November?
