TV Weatherman Suffers Horrific Panic Attack on Live TV

For anyone who has never suffered a panic attack or knows someone who has had one, they can be brutal.

I can tell you this is someone who hates flying and used to break out into a cold sweat when boarding a plane.

So, I can empathize with an Australian weather presenter who had to halt his broadcast when a wave of panic struck him.

Need to Stop

“ABC News Breakfast” weatherman Nate Byrne was right in the middle of his forecast when he got hit with a panic attack.

He told his audience, “I’m going to need to stop for a second,” with a trembling voice that made it quite clear that something had gone amiss.

He explained, “Some of you may know that I occasionally get affected by some panic attacks, and actually that’s happening right now.”

He eventually recovered, and most times, you just need to take a quick breath and you will be okay.

Byrne posted that he had received overwhelming support from his co-workers and fans, stating, “Thank you for all the supportive messages (There have been so many. What a wonderful audience we have!).”

Some will call this weak, and I get it, but this is a real thing.

As I noted above, I used to have them every time I flew, but I figured out how to trick my mind during the process as well as when I get on the plane to avoid having those attacks.

It is just a matter of staying busy with a book or game on my phone, anything to keep my mind off the fact I am in a tight metal tube that has no right leaving the ground and staying airborne for however many hours I am flying.

I still hate flying, I just figured out a way not to make people sitting next to me thinking I was out of my mind because of how badly I would be sweating and clutching the seat.

I laugh about it now, but I would not wish that on anyone.
