Maryland governor facing scrutiny over Bronze Star claims

The governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, is currently facing questions about whether he had ever falsely claimed that he had a Bronze Star.

Kamala Harris must be FURIOUS about this, because it's only bringing more attention to the stolen valor accusations against her own running mate, Tim Walz.

It makes sense that the party of corruption, the Democrats, would be facing two different cases of stolen valor heading into election season.

Wes Moore:

Questions about Moore first came about in 2022, when it came out that two television interviewers had inexplicably claimed that Wes Moore was a recipient of the award.

The television interviewers, Gwen Ifill and Stephen Colbert, were never corrected on their errors even as Moore and his aides insisted that he had never told anyone he had received a Bronze Star.

Moore is under a ton of scrutiny for this situation because in 2006, when he was 27 years old, he apparently claimed on a White House fellowship application that he had received a Bronze Star.

"For my work the 82nd Airborne Division have awarded me the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge," he wrote.

Tim Walz:

Minnesota's governor might have found the number one problem that he's going to run into on the entire election campaign trail: accusations of stolen valor.

The allegations come from Walz's previous claim that he had carried weapons "in war."

Walz was asked about the accusations when he and Harris recently sat down with CNN's Dana Bash. The coach didn't really make things any clearer with his response, apparently blaming his mistake on "grammar."

"I said, we were talking about in this case—this was after a school shooting—the ideas of carrying these weapons of war and my wife the English teacher told me my grammar is not always correct. But again, if it's not this, it's an attack on my children for showing love for me, or it's an attack on my dog." Walz said. "The one thing I'll never do is I'll never demean another member's service in any way. I never have and I never will."

Can America trust either of these men?

These allegations are certainly making it hard for many of us.
