Hillary Says She Was ‘Conflicted’ About Melania in New Book

In her latest book, “Something Lost, Something Gained,” Hillary discusses an awkward interaction with Melania Trump during the memorial for Rosalynn Carter.

Hillary noted that Melania looked uneasy during the event but stated everyone greeted her and treated her kindly.

However, Hillary also noted that she was conflicted about being accepting of Melania.

Her Fault

The passage is really interesting, so I will post that and then offer my two cents on it.

Hillary wrote, “We all went up to her. Jill air-kissed her cheek, and Michelle Obama gave her one of her signature big hugs.

“[Former President Clinton] tried to make conversation, asking her how she was, but he was met with a smile and few words. I reached out, shook her hand, and said, ‘Hello, Melania, it’s nice to see you.'

“I can appreciate how awkward it must have been, not knowing what kind of reception she would get after all her husband’s insults directed at us Bushes, Bidens, Obamas, and Clintons alike.”

Hillary then added, “On a gut level, I have never believed that a wife bears responsibility for the actions of her husband. But did she aid and abet her husband’s worst instincts?”

“Was she quietly complicit in his bigotry and hate-mongering?”

Hillary gave as good as she got in terms of insults, and let’s not forget that Trump offered Hillary and Bill Clinton an olive branch at his inaugural luncheon, but it was Hillary who continued to draw blood, which, of course, was returned in kind by Donald Trump.

And when you talk about aiding and abetting the actions of a husband, let’s not forget how Hillary reportedly threatened the women in Bill’s life to make sure they would not hurt him politically.

I am so sick and tired of people putting the Clintons on this pedestal when they are one of the most corrupt and vile political couples in the history of this country.

Conflicted about Melania? If I were Melania, I would have been looking for the nearest bottle of hand sanitizer after shaking hands with the Clintons.
