Yellowstone Concession Worker Missing

Search and Rescue workers at Yellowstone National Park are searching for one of their own this week.

Reports stated that a concession worker at the park had disappeared.

The young man missed his check-in on Friday, and has not been heard from since.

He’s Gone

Austin King, 22, was supposed to have been picked up by a boat on Friday after a week-long adventure, but he never showed up.

King is a concession worker at the part, but this was a personal adventure that he undertook.

Over the weekend, a large search party, two helicopters, drones, and search dogs started the search to find him.

So far, their efforts have come up empty.

According to the report, King spoke with a park ranger on September 16, saying that he planned on climbing Eagle’s Peak. The report stated, "While on the summit, King described fog, rain, sleet, hail and windy conditions.”

That Tuesday was the last anyone had heard from King.

The search for King started on Saturday, with rescuers finding his camp and some of his personal belongings, but the vehicle associated with King was missing.

Over the last few days, nighttime temperatures have dipped into the 20s, so if he is still alive, the conditions are not ideal.

Authorities described him as being six feet tall, weighing 160 pounds.
