Broncos Running Back Carted Off Field After Awkward Fall

We see crazy injuries in the NFL all the time.

For instance, this weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs loss their star receiver when his QB, Patrick Mahomes, hit him in the back of the legs trying to make a play after an interception.

Broncos running back Tyler Badie was also injured when he awkwardly hit the turf during a play.

Crazy Fall

The initial play did not look that bad.

However, when Badie went to the ground, he did nothing to brace his fall, landing square on his chine, then his neck was awkwardly bent.

You can see how awkward this was in the video below…

He was immediately carted off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the game.

When he was on the cart, he was clearly in pain, so this does not appear to be a run-of-the-mill injury for Badie.

Badie is a backup RB, so he could ill afford to take this injury. He is already fighting for snaps behind starter Javonte Williams and regular backup Jaleel McLaughlin.

As far as the game was concerned, the Broncos stunned Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets, beating them 10-9 in a game that was dramatically slowed down by the weather.

Rodgers had a rough day, getting sacked five times, with no TDs on the day.

The Jets did have the ball down at the one-yard line at one point, but they failed to punch it in and had to settle for the field goal, a blown opportunity that likely cost them the game.

It is baffling that they did not run Allen until he was successful, but on third down, they passed, then went with the FG try.

Even so, Rodgers did get them into position to win with a field goal attempt, but the kicker missed, and the Broncos stole the win.
