Former CNN Analyst Rips Biden for ‘Lock’ Trump Up Comments
Going back to when Donald Trump first won the presidency in 2016, he has been accusing the Democrats of weaponizing the DOJ against him.
Joe Biden only added fuel to that fire by suggesting that Trump needed to be locked up during a recent campaign stop.
Lock Him Up
When someone is accusing you of weaponizing the government against them, the last thing you should be doing is saying that the person needs to be locked up, but that is exactly what Biden suggested in New Hampshire this week.
Just do me a quick favor and listen very closely to this video because I want to cover a very specific point before we really dig into this…

Biden accused Trump of wanting to “eliminate” his political opponents, suggesting that Trump would kill them without repercussion if he was president. First, Donald Trump has never said such a thing. Second, such an act would never be considered an official act of the president, so it would not be immune from prosecution. This is nothing more than fearmongering by Biden.
Trump Responds
After the comments were made, it fed the Trump narrative, and his campaign was very quick to respond.
One of Trump’s campaign spokespeople immediately responded, stating, “Joe Biden just admitted the truth: he and Kamala’s plan all along has been to politically persecute their opponent President Trump because they can’t beat him fair and square.”
Bad Word Choice, Joe
Trump’s campaign team was not the only group that thought Joe Biden's choice of words was bad. Former CNN political analyst Chris Cillizza also criticized Biden for using these words against Trump.
He stated, “Now, Biden, probably realizing what a dumb thing he had just said, added, ‘Politically lock him up. Lock him out, that’s what we have to do.’ Yeah, that’s the ticket. Uh, come on, man, like we, ‘Politically lock him up,’ what the hell does that mean?
“When the president of the United States says, ‘We gotta lock him up’ about the former president of the United States, who has premised almost his entire political life on the idea that the Democrats and the ‘deep state’ are trying to lock him up, I mean, it’s really not good.”
I say this realizing that “lock her up” was a campaign slogan for Donald Trump in the 2016 race, but let’s not forget what actually happened when Trump took office.
He immediately offered an olive branch to Hillary Clinton, asking everyone to stand up and recognize her at his inaugural luncheon. That could have been the end of all this, but Dems kept pushing, and Trump continued to return fire. This is a two-way street, my friends, but I am just happy that someone on the left is finally acknowledging that the Democrat rhetoric is an issue.
