Michelle Obama Pushes Racist-Sexist Narrative for Not Voting for Harris

Democrats are nervous, and you can tell this when their biggest move is playing the racism and sexism cards.

To that point, during a recent campaign appearance by Michelle Obama, she insinuated that anyone not supporting Harris is racist or sexist, possibly both.

Desperate Times

The desperation of the Democrat Party was never more apparent than Obama getting caught on camera telling a group of young black men that they needed to vote for Harris because of her color. Obama appeared to be shaming them for not supporting Harris or for supporting Trump.

Barack told the young men, “You’re thinking about sitting out or supporting somebody (in former president Donald Trump) who has a history of denigrating you, because you think that’s a sign of strength, because that’s what being a man is? Putting women down? That’s not acceptable.”

The former president continued, “You’re coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses, I’ve got a problem with that. Because part of it makes me think – and I’m speaking to men directly – part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”

Obama took considerable criticism over those comments, but that has not dialed down the rhetoric at all. In fact, Michelle Obama followed suit.

Scared of Women

To add a little more fuel to the fire, a pro-Harris PAC took out an ad about “real men” voting for Harris who were not scared to support a woman. Then came Michelle Obama’s event, at which she bashed Trump and insinuated that maybe the country was not ready for a black woman to be president. She said this knowing full well that the one person who could have easily defeated Trump in this race was her! Far and away, virtually every poll on the planet suggested that Michelle Obama would have had a landslide victory had she thrown her hat into the ring.

Michelle prefers to stoke the fire of division, and she did just that, stating, “Kamala Harris is an extraordinary human being, she is an extraordinary candidate, and she will be an extraordinary president of the United States of America. Mark my words. So, Michigan, with all that being said, I gotta ask myself, well why on earth is this race even close?

“I lay awake at night wondering, what in the world is going on? And, it’s clear to me, the question for me isn’t whether Kamala is ready for this moment….because by every measure she has demonstrated that she’s ready. The real question is, as a country, are we ready for this moment?”

The former First Lady then added, “Are we willing to do what it takes to get her across the finish line or are we going to let ourselves get distracted and fall for the scam? Are we going to lose sight of the dire consequences if we come up short?

“And, right now folks, I have to be honest, I’m not completely sure of the answers to those questions. Y’all give me great comfort in this arena, but, this is a big country, and that’s why all of my hope about Kamala is also accompanied by some genuine fear.”

Not Alone

The Obamas are not alone in pushing this narrative, as Stacey Abrams, the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate, is also stirring the waters on this front. While appearing on CNN, she stated, “However, we do have to acknowledge that there is sexism. There is racism. There are challenges in our electorate and that’s why it’s so important that Kamala Harris is going everywhere and talking to everyone. She respects voters. She meets them where they are and she refuses to be told that she has lost a cohort, lost a community simply because she’s different.”

Now, to check these comments, realize that Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) was a frontrunner at one point for the GOP nomination and is widely respected and loved among Republicans. Realize that Nikki Haley was the last person standing against Donald Trump in the GOP primary race. This is nothing more than gaslighting and fearmongering on the part of Democrats, especially when you consider it is largely young black voters who are not supporting her in this election.

It's not about race, and it’s not about gender (especially for a party that does not have a definition for a woman, thereby negating sexism altogether). It is about having the right person for the job, and clearly, quite a few people do not believe Harris is ready for this moment.
