Harris Caught on Hot Mic with Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Recently, Kamala Harris held a campaign event in Michigan, where Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined her.

After the event, the two ladies sat down at the bar to have a beer, but they seemed to forget that the microphones were hot and that everyone could hear what they were saying.

Struggling in Michigan

Michigan is a huge state for Harris. Her easiest path to 270 is to sweep the Blue Wall states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. This, however, depends on her taking New Hampshire, which is very much in question right now.

New Hampshire is a state generally written off by the GOP, and it is state Trump has pretty much ignored since the primary races. However, there were whispers that New Hampshire could swing, and Trump pounced. Now, in the latest polling, Trump and Harris are even.

If Harris loses New Hampshire, she not only needs all three Blue Wall states but will also have to win another state between Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina. This all starts with Michigan, a state with a Democrat governor that Harris is expected to take.

Trump, however, is giving her a pretty significant fight in the state, recovering from as much as a seven-point deficit in recent months to now either being tied or ahead of Harris. In the last six polls taken, Harris holds a 5% lead in one, a 1% lead in another, she is tied with Trump in two others, and trailing Trump by 1% in the other three.

Point being, she has to keep hitting Michigan, and she needs all the help she can get to block Trump from stealing this state from her.

Let’s Have a Beer

After Harris’ rally, she pulled a Trump move by showing up at a local spot to shake some hands. That lasted for a few minutes, then she and Governor Whitmer saddled up to the bar to have a quick beer in an effort to make Harris more appealing to the average person.

After Harris took a baby sip of her local brew, she and Whitmer started talking in whispers, thinking nobody could hear what they were saying.

However, the microphones picked up Harris admitting that they need to “move ground among men.” When Harris looked up, she realized the media could hear everything, and stated, “Oh, we have microphones and listening to everything.”

Whitmer cracked an off-color joke, then Harris stated, “We just told all the family secrets, s***.” Then, the two of them broke in their patented cackle that nobody can stand.

Numbers Don’t Lie

Harris hit the nail on the head because she is just not making a dent in the male demographic, especially among young black men, where Democrats have dominated in the past.

For instance, a recent Suffolk University Poll had Trump at +16 with men. A Quinnipiac Poll for Michigan found that Trump was +19 with men in the state.

Among black men, Harris’ numbers are even worse. The last report I saw had Harris around +40 among young black men, a demographic that Barack Obama had a +80 lead during the 2008 election.

Harris is in real trouble, which explains why they have Barack Obama out there trying to shame young men into voting for Harris. But I have news for them. I really don’t think this is about people being afraid of or against voting for a woman for president. If you go back to the 2020 cycle, where Harris was initially a favorite, we saw the same cycle we are seeing now. The more people see of Harris, the less they like her. Dems just have the wrong candidate, period.
