Former NYC mayor blames Dems covering for Biden for election woes

After the defeat of Kamala Harris, Democrats have been looking for excuses to explain away what happened and how they lost to Donald Trump again.  

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is now adding his two cents, once again pointing at how Democrats tried to hide Joe Biden’s mental health issues.  

Biden’s Mental Health 

As conservatives, we all saw the decline of Joe Biden over the last two years or so.  

Democrats, however, were either in denial or were involved in a major coverup.  

To that point, we all remember when the White House kept pushing the narrative that Biden was fine.  

For instance, after Biden’s disastrous debate, the White House insisted, “He is as sharp as ever, as I have known him to be in my engagement, in my experience with him. And I know when I walk into the Oval Office or or see him on Air Force One, I have to be on top of my game.” 

Dems Rage Against Biden 

Now, this was going on and on regarding Biden right up until the day that Biden withdrew from the race, with the only difference being the media finally broke after the debate.  

Yet, the same people that were defending Biden all along were now calling him out for having stayed in the race so long.  

For instance, Jim Manley, a top aide to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, stated, “He shouldn’t have run. This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings. He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country.” 

Show me the list of high-profile Democrats that said something like this before the election run started... it doesn’t exist. Point being, had Democrats confronted Biden before the election, maybe they could have had a real candidate in the race.  

Bill de Blasio Calls Out Democrats 

Again, de Blasio never spoke up when it would have helped, so I cannot help but laugh at the fact that he is now calling out the party for covering up Joe Biden’s mental health issues.  

On why the Dems lost, de Blasio stated, "Let‘s be honest, we‘ve got to be more honest. Part of what happened here is the American people were pissed off that they felt the Democratic Party was covering for Joe Biden.  

“They were already upset with Joe Biden on a substantive level, not always fairly, but they were on things like inflation. And people are hurting.” 

Honestly... I think the Democrat Party has unequivocally proven honesty is something it simply is incapable of being with the American people.
