Trump Nominated Kimberly Guilfoyle Facing Calls for Disqualification After Sexual Harassment Allegation
Yes, if you are a Republican woman who is associated with Trump, you too are liable to be charged with sexual harassment.
Case in point, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who apparently just broke up with Donnie Jr., and who has been selected by Trump as our Ambassador to Greece, is now facing past sexual harassment charges, which could block her nomination.
The Allegation
Guilfoyle, who was married to California Gavin Newsom before dating Don Jr., had been accused of some pretty nasty activity in a 2020 investigative report by the New Yorker.
The report claimed that the former Fox News host had repeatedly subjected another female staffer to “degrading, abusive, and sexually inappropriate behavior.”
It was then reported that Fox News paid out a multi-million dollar settlement to make the case go away.
Sadly, Guilfoyle is far from the only Trump nominee facing these types of accusations.
Other Nominees Being Scrutinized
Of course, Donald Trump has all those skeletons in his closet regarding inappropriate sexual behavior and affairs.
Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth was also accused by a woman of having raped him, but those allegations were investigated and dismissed by local police.
But, you are guilty until proven innocent these days, so liberals and Dems are throwing shade on Trump’s picks.
Kathleen Dolan, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, stated that this appointment “does continue the pattern that we have seen among a number of Trump nominees, one that he does not consider (sexual misconduct) a disqualifying issue in any forum.”
Did She Do It
Looking back at the time, Fox News was getting crushed in lawsuits of this nature at the time.
When Guilfoyle left Fox News, it was spun at the time that she was doing so in order to work for a Trump SuperPAC. She had also started to date Donald Trump Jr. at this point.
Two different reports, however, claimed that Guilfoyle was asked by Fox News to leave after having investigated the complaint and settling the lawsuit. The complaint allegedly stated that Guilfoyle would regularly have her assistant work with her from home where Guilfoyle was parading around naked. It further stated that she would share erotic pictures of people she had been involved with in the past, both male and female.
Without seeing all the evidence, it is tough to make a call, but the fact she was asked to leave and the network wrote a seven-figure check to keep it out of the courts, well, that tells me Dems are going to feast on this during the confirmation process. Unless Guilfoyle wants to have her reputation put through the wringer, she may want to withdraw from consideration.
