Biden Commutes Sentence of Corrupt Political Official

Joe Biden started the pardon season by pardoning his son, Hunter.

This week, Biden made big news by handing out a slew of pardons, including commuting the sentence of a corrupt political official.

The Hunter Biden Pardon

For most of the last four years, Joe Biden has told the American people that he would not pardon his son, Hunter.

As a matter of fact, about a month before he actually did pardon Hunter, the White House was adamant that Biden’s position still stood.

Then, of course, Biden went back on his word and pardoned his son before announcing any other pardons.

The White House not only stated Biden did not lie, he just changed his mind, but then they tried to justify the pardon by saying that Biden’s DOJ had been weaponized against Hunter. Karine Jean-Pierre stated, "He believes in the justice system, but he also believes that the raw politics infected the process and led to a miscarriage of justice."

Biden Announces Massive Pardons and Commutations

Biden stunned the country earlier this week by announcing a massive number of pardons and commutations.

In all, Biden pardoned 39 people and commuted the sentences of 1,499 people.

There were some shocking people included in this list, including drug crimes (and this included some people linked to cartels), Medicare fraud, and some of those who had illegals prescribed drugs, and that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Biden then tried to justify the order, stating, “America was built on the promise of possibility and second chances.”

Democrats want more from Biden, though, with some demanding that Biden reduce the sentence of all 40 people on death row.

Looking After Their Own

One of the commutations that Biden issued has a lot of people upset.

Rita Crundwell, the Illinois comptroller who embezzled $53 million for a small town, was on the list.

This was the largest municipal embezzlement in the history of the country, devastating a small town, and Biden just let her walk. The city was fuming when it was issued, stating, "The City of Dixon is shocked and outraged with the announcement that President Biden has given Rita Crundwell clemency for the largest municipal embezzlement in the history of our country. This is a complete travesty of justice and a slap in the face for our entire community."

I could not agree more. I have to say, after seeing that list of pardons, I don’t want to hear a word about any pardons that Trump issues after he takes office.
