Former Obama Adviser Issues Warning to ‘Political Class’

Democrats clearly did not get the message from this election, and former Barack Obama adviser Van Jones is calling them out over their ignorance.

Jones is now calling out the “political class” for not getting the message.

Not a Rebuke

The fact that Donald Trump won the popular vote in this election should have been a huge warning sign for Democrats, but they still don’t get it.

Case in point, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was interviewed after the election, and she still thinks that the Democrat agenda is in great shape. Not only did Pelosi state that the election results were not a rebuke of Democrats, but she also stated that she felt “sorry” for the American people for having elected Donald Trump.

Pelosi stated, “Well, on the presidential level, I feel sad for the American people. The policies that have been put forth by the president-to-be are some that are very, shall we say, if his first term is any indication, it’s going to favor the very rich at the expense of working families.”

This was the biggest win by Republicans in decades, yet Pelosi continues to say the Dems are on the right side of the argument.

Joe Biden Decision

The other part of the conversation that amazed me was how Democrats painted Biden as selfless. Biden did not want to step down; this was a coup by Democrat leadership because Biden was getting slaughtered in the polls.

On that point, Pelosi stated, “He made a patriotic, selfless decision, for which we are all very grateful. I think that was one of the reasons we were able to save so many House seats.

“So I thank him for that. I had no reason to earlier say anything to the president.

The other rather amusing aspect of this is that Pelosi continues to say the short election season hurt Harris, but she was at the front of the pack to pressure Biden to drop out of the race. Biden was elected, so he is the one who should have been in the general election, and perhaps the American people were upset that the party discounted their vote and hand-selected a candidate.

Calling Out the Political Class

Vance Jones, a former political adviser for Barack Obama, is one of the few Democrats that seems to understand not only was this election a rebuke, but it was a clear message by voters that they are not happy with constantly being lied to by politicians.

He stated, “I want to talk real. You guys shouldn’t be as happy as you are because, 2016, people voted for change because they were fed up and sick of it, gave Trump a chance; 2020, people voted for change because they were sick of Trump; 2024, they voted for change, they’re probably gonna vote for change a bunch more times because, this — something is off, man.

“There’s something really going wrong for real everyday working folks in this country, and I’m not sure either party has an answer yet. We know how to beat each other up when the other one is in power, but can we solve any of these problems?”

I agree with him, and you guys were reading my reports, you know I was constantly warning Donald Trump about overpromising on the campaign trail, making promises there is no way he can possibly come through on. As I have said many times, say you will try or work on it, but don’t promise things like no more taxes on Social Security or overtime when you need significant help from the other side to deliver on the promise.
