House Committee Unveils Massive Report on Weaponization of Government

When the GOP took control of the House, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) vowed to use the House Judiciary Committee to investigate the alleged weaponization of the government against conservatives and Donald Trump.

Well, the House Weaponization Subcommittee assigned to the investigation just released a massive 17,000-page report on the matter.

Censorship

I can tell you firsthand that conservatives have been censored online dating back to the early days of the Trump administration.

That, however, ramped up significantly under the Biden administration. To that point, the report stated, "Throughout the Biden-Harris administration, multiple federal agencies, including the White House, have engaged in a vast censorship campaign against so-called mis-, dis-, or malinformation.”

The report continued, "Facebook gave in to this pressure, demoting posts and content that was highly relevant to political discourse in the United States.”

It went on to state how conservative pundits and news outlets were getting censored and having their reach cut back online.

Federal Law Enforcement

Another section of the report breaks down how federal law enforcement agencies were used to attack conservatives on various fronts.

The report stated, "When these whistleblowers came forward, the bureau brutally retaliated against many of them for breaking ranks—suspending them without pay, preventing them from seeking outside employment, and even purging suspected disloyal employees."

The committee also addressed how the GOP brought to light the FBI targeting Catholic Americans, parents at school board meetings, IRS “unannounced visits to American taxpayers’ homes” and the “vast warrantless surveillance of Americans by federal law enforcement.”

This is something of which we still don’t have the full picture, and I would imagine when that picture is complete, it will not be a flattering story for the Biden administration.

Protecting Biden

Another subject that the committee investigated was the debunking of the Hunter Biden laptop story by 51 former intelligence officials. This is something that I have always thought should have resulted in election interference charges since these officials used government resources and knew their former positions would hold weight.

The report accused the Biden campaign of having "colluded with the intelligence community to falsely discredit this story as ‘Russian disinformation.’"

That report changed the direction of the election, with surveys showing after the fact that more than roughly 50% of those surveyed would have been impacted had they known the laptop story was legit.

With all of this evidence, the question then becomes if there will be any referrals made to the DOJ. The good news on that front is that if there are, Trump will be in office by then, which means the DOJ would actually act on them, contrary to what Joe Biden’s DOH has been doing.
