Dems Have New Strategy to Break up Musk-Trump Friendship
The friendship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has hit a nerve with Democrats and the media.
Now that Trump has announced that Musk will be heading the DOGE agency with Vivek Ramaswamy, the media and Dems have a new strategy to try to break this up.
Musk and DOGE
Musk has become an unlikely ally of Donald Trump’s, openly criticizing Democrats and now a reformed liberal.
Musk has been using his platform, X, to call out Democrats, especially when it comes to wasteful spending.
With their being a regular budget deficit and a national debt of more than $36 trillion, Musk once stated that he thought having nearly 500 agencies was beyond excessive, and he believed he could trim that down to under 100 and have a more cost-effective government.
Well, Donald Trump called him on just that, and appointed Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new DOGE office, which has the sole responsibility of cutting government waste.
President Musk
The more Musk spoke up about things, the more the media and Democrats started to call him president and Trump his puppet.
While Democrats have had people pulling George Soros pulling their strings for decades, all of a sudden, they did not like the idea of someone that rich influencing decisions for Republicans.
For instance, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) stated, "If this is the type of power he has, then he is going to be the unelected co-president of this country and we've got to be super blunt about it.”
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) added, "He's president and Trump is now vice president.”
The Strategy
This started to get noticed by Musk and Trump, with Trump saying that Musk will never be president because he was not born in this country, but you could tell people calling Musk “president” was starting to get to Trump.
To that point, Musk tried to downplay it himself, posting, "First of all, I'm not the author of this proposal. Credit to @realDonaldTrump, @JDVance & @SpeakerJohnson,” regarding the new spending bill that was just passed.
Everyone knows about Trump’s ego, and that is what Democrats and the media are banking on right to upset the apple cart. We have seen Trump turn on people before when they were a threat to Trump getting credit, and that is the wedge that everyone is trying to place right now to break up these two.
I have actually warned about this in other reports, and I believe it is only a matter of time that if this continues, there will be a break between Musk and Trump. Musk clearly does not want that, but I am not sure Trump’s ego can prevent this from happening. Worse for all parties is the fact there are quite a few left-leaning anchors that are pushing this narrative, just hoping to explode the powder keg. To me, the question is not when Trump will dump Musk, it is how Musk will respond and if he will start criticizing Trump if and when this breakup happens.
