James Woods Brought to Tears Over Losing LA Home
As everyone knows, the California wildfires are ripping through the state, destroying homes in the process.
One of the homes that was lost belonged to actor James Woods, who was visibly upset over what was taking place.
The Fires
Before I get into the loss by Woods, I really want to address how this could have possibly been prevented or minimized.
Gavin Newsom and the Biden administration have destroyed dams, sent runoff to the ocean, as well as other policies that have impacted these fires. For instance, there has been no forest floor maintenance, which could help prevent these fires from spreading so quickly.
The Forest Service canceled its controlled burns, which were widely reported and criticized in October and November.
The final straw is LA Mayor Karen Bass cutting the LA Fire Department budget by nearly $18 million, even though her Chief was warned that cutting this budget would the department's ability for large-scale responses.
James Woods Loses His Home
James Woods is among those who lived in the area being decimated by these fires.
He was clearly upset over losing his home and the loss his neighbors were experiencing. He really lost it describing what his 8-year-old niece was trying to do for him, stating, “But Sarah was on with her eight-year-old niece last night, and she came out. I’m sorry.
“Just, you know, one day, you’re swimming in the pool, and the next day, it’s all gone. But she came out with her little Yeti piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.”
Here is the segment...
Elections Have Consequences
I posted a story on my Facebook page today about an interaction I had with someone at a coffee shop this morning regarding the fires.
I won’t rehash that story here, but I will say the gist of my comments were that this was karma, and that elections have consequences.
Yes, I have empathy for some of the people, like Woods, who lost his home, but most of these people supported Biden and Harris, and tried to get them elected again. They are big donors and Hollywood stars who endorsed them all, and voted for Newsom again when they could have recalled him. They voted for Bass as mayor.
Point being, the votes for the people who put policies in place that took virtually no action to prevent these devastating fires from ripping through California, to the point firemen were opening up hydrants that were dry. Democrats say it all the time... elections have consequences, and Californians are dealing with those consequences right now.
