Celebs Turning on Dems as They Lose Homes in Wildfires
For most of the last decade. The Hollywood elite have been telling us how wonderful Democrats are and how conservatives are the enemy.
Well, Democrat policies are finally impacting their lives, and let’s just say this is not going over too well with celebrities now that they are losing their homes due to Newsom’s failed policies.
Falling Down on the Job
We have done several reports now on the failings of Democrats in California that could have made these fires less severe.
It starts with Gavin Newsom, who had destroyed dams, sent runoff into the ocean instead of a reservoir, and a host of other policies that have created water shortages in the state.
Then there is LA Mayor Karen Bass, who cut nearly $18 million from the fire department’s budget despite warnings it would impede large-scale responsiveness. Not to mention ignoring warnings about the wildfires to go to Ghana for its presidential inauguration.
The Biden administration also played a role, with the Forest Service skipping prescribed burns this year as well as a lack of maintenance on the forest floor. This was the perfect storm of incompetence. And again, I want to be clear, these fires happen every year, but it was this neglect that many believe has allowed them to rage out of control.
Celebrity Homes Being Destroyed
This week, there were dozens of stars who went on TV to cry about their lost homes. Pacific Palisades and Malibu Beach, which host some of the most expensive homes in the country, have been devastated by the fires.
Anna Faris, who starred in the “Scary Movie” franchise, saw her home reduced to charred debris. Faris is safe, but she has lost everything.
Mollie Sims, who starred in “Yes Man” with Jim Carrey as well as the hit TV show “Las Vegas” also lived in the area. She completely broke down on camera, stating, "Wanted to give everyone an update. Our community is beyond devastated. We are all pulling together.
“A lot of my friends have lost their home[s]. I'm waiting to see if our home will be there. Right now it's just a waiting game. But I just want you to know I appreciate all the texts and DMs. All we can do is wait."
Stars Go Off
Some stars dried up their tears from the loss and decided to call out those responsible for not having been better prepared.
For instance, Sarah Michelle Geller, who starred in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” went off on Mayor Bass and the city, stating, "City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping.” She was referring to the gridlock that literally resulted in people abandoning their cars on the road to get away from the fires.
Mauricio Umansky, founder and CEO of The Agency, who also starred in a reality TV show, wanted to know what he got for his high taxes, stating, "The budgets are terrible, and I'm just tremendously disappointed in our in our politicians. Our mayor not being in town, not rushing to come back into town and being speechless. It's just it's unacceptable."
As I have stated before... elections have consequences. Up until now, these celebrities have never had to worry about dealing with the repercussions of the policies of Democrats because they are generally insulated. Not this time. And now they are all showing their true colors.
