Trump Revoking Security Clearance of Infamous Hunter Biden Letter Signors
One of the first acts as president of Donald Trump was to exact revenge on the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop had all the signs of a Russian misinformation-disinformation campaign.
This is one act of revenge on Trump’s part that I completely support.
The Letter
During the 2020 election cycle, the New York Post published a report revealing numerous Hunter Biden emails and other communications found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
After the report surfaced, 51 former intelligence officials rallied to support Biden by signing a letter trying to debunk the report, even though not a single one of them had inspected the laptop.
They claimed their experience with national security made them “deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.”
The letter continued, “If we are right, this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”
It’s Real
There were members of Trump’s administration who had stated the laptop was real, but that mattered little to the mainstream media and Democrats.
The laptop was “officially” recognized as being authentic during Hunter Biden’s Delaware criminal trial.
FBI Agent Erika Jensen verified the laptop, putting egg on the face of media and Democrats, including Joe Biden, who had to know the laptop was real because some of his emails were on there.
This raised a lot of questions, mostly about the 51 former officials who used their influence to nullify the laptop only weeks before the election.
Revoked
As soon as Trump took office, he vowed to revoke the security clearances of the 51 former intelligence personnel who signed that letter, and I support the move 100%.
Some of these names are fairly significant, including James Clapper, John Brennan, and Leon Panetta. Many of these people rely on their security clearances for their jobs in the private sector, so this will wreck them, but there are consequences for actions, and they are now facing them.
After the election, and when it became clear the laptop was legitimate, a poll was taken to see if the story would have impacted their vote, and the majority of those surveyed confessed they likely would not have voted for Biden had they known all the facts.
This was election interference… of that I have no doubt. Honestly, I would like to see Trump go after these people and put them all behind bars.
