Biden ally leaves late-night host nearly speechless on Trump

One of Joe Biden's highest-profile supporters during the 2024 election, actor George Clooney, just stunned late-night TV host Stephen Colbert.

Colbert was expecting Clooney to dump all over Trump, but he actually wished him well, leaving Colbert nearly speechless in the process.

Raising Money for Joe

George Clooney and Julia Roberts did just about everything they could to rally voters behind Joe Biden during the election season.

They even teamed up to hold a massive Hollywood event that raised about $30 million for Joe's campaign.

The event was held at the 7,100-seat Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and Clooney clearly had plenty of time to chat with Joe about the election, but not a single word was said about Biden's mental fitness after that event.

At the time of the event, this was the biggest fundraiser to date for Biden, but Trump countered that with a $50 million event just a few weeks later.

Time to Step Down

As I stated above, after that fundraiser, Clooney sat on his hands, and that would have been the time to suggest that Biden get out of the race, but it was not until after Biden's disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump that Clooney threw up the white flag.

Clooney even went so far as to write an op-ed in the New York Times to ask Biden to step down. In part, he wrote, "But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can.

"It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big F-ing deal' Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."

He then asked party leadership to step in to ask Biden to step down, in an open letter that Biden had to consider a slap in the face.

Clooney was on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" this week, and he just about gave Colbert a heart attack by wishing Trump well.

Unlike Colbert, Clooney was very reasonable, eventually stating, “Good for you. I hope you do well, because our country needs it, and then we’ll meet you in three and half years and see where we go next."

Colbert then tried to bait Clooney, suggesting that there will never be another election in this country, which is just utterly ridiculous...

I cannot wait for 2028 to get here just to prove all these morons wrong about there being another election. Then the only question is if anyone will hold all these people accountable who have been fearmongering the American people by saying that Trump will end elections and become a dictator.
