AG Pam Bondi orders FBI to turn over all Epstein documents

This week, Attorney General Pam Bondi released some of the Epstein files to conservative influencers.

However, Bondi did not get all the files she wanted, so she issued an ultimatum to FBI Director Patel to direct his New York office to release the files.

White House Gives MAGA Influencers Epstein Documents

This week, Bondi created a bit of a social media firestorm by releasing Phase 1 of the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

Bondi supplied several conservative influencers, Rogan O'Handley (DC_Draino), Chaya Raichik (Libs of TikTok), Liz Wheeler, and Jack Posobiec, with binder files of documents that have not yet been made public.

That, however, did not sit well with some Republicans. For instance, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) was furious, posting, "I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein's phonebook. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR instead of leaking old info to press."

Luna was referring to a story in the New York Post that stated the influencers were being given the contents of Epstein’s address book, but there was no context provided to the contact numbers.

Bondi Gives Patel Ultimatum

Bondi also made public that the FBI’s New York office was not being cooperative with her requests to have the files released. She has now requested that Patel force the office to release all documents to her.

In part, her letter stated, “I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we have received the full set of documents.

“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and the indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files.”

Bondi then issued two deadlines to Patel, giving him until February 28 to deliver the full files, as well as telling Patel to conduct an investigation as to why her initial requests were ignored.

Patel Promises to Deliver Files

Bondi is a pretty direct person, so I was curious to see how her power move would go over with Patel. To his credit, he took it in stride and assured Bondi he would take care of it.

Patel responded, "The FBI is entering a new era that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned — and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued.

"If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them," he continued. "We will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be. The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise.”

The only thing I don’t like about this is the public nature of the orders. If I were Patel, I would not appreciate that letter going out publicly. I would hope that being in the same administration and wanting to accomplish the same goals, just pick up the phone and ask. These little memos and such are feeding the media the narrative that there is a power struggle going on. As I have stated many times, this administration needs to be perfect, and they cannot give the media layups like this.
