State Department revokes visa of pro-Hamas student
Donald Trump and his administration just did something that I cannot applaud loudly enough.
The visa of a pro-Hamas student was just revoked, and I hope that sends a wake-up call to these people who are advocating for terrorism on our college campuses.
Protests Supporting Hamas and Palestine
I look at Palestine a bit differently than Democrats.
My belief is that since Palestine gave power to Hamas to rule the Gaza Strip, and did nothing to stop Hamas or help Israel remove Hamas from within its borders, Palestine should be considered as a terror state.
To that point, anyone supporting them, as we saw with college protests around the country, but mostly on the campuses of Columbia, Harvard, and the University of Oregon, to name a few, should have their visas rescinded.
For months, Jewish students on these campuses were being terrorized by these protesters, often shutting down buildings or blocking classrooms. In some cases, the protesters were not even students, but just there to create chaos.
Trump Vows to Revoke Student Visas
Trump warned these protesters on the campaign trail that he would be coming after them if he won the election.
He stated, “To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice: come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization that has been linked to terrorist organizations, rebuffed the Trump administration, stating that Trump’s new order was “dishonest, overbroad and unenforceable attack on both free speech and the humanity of Palestinians. Free speech is a cornerstone of our Constitution that no president can wipe away with an executive order,” it said, adding that the protests had been “overwhelmingly peaceful.”
Yes, we have free speech, but there are also repercussions, especially when you are openly supporting terrorist organizations.
Trump Revokes Student Visa
On Thursday, the Trump administration confirmed that it had acted on Trump’s promise to revoke student visas for pro-Hamas students.
The State Department stated, “Yesterday evening, we revoked the first visa of an alien who was previously cited for criminal behavior in connection with Hamas-supporting disruptions. This individual was a university student. ICE will proceed with removing this person from the country.”
Democrats are surely going to object to this, but I support his position fully, as I explained at the top of this report.
We need to stop normalizing support for terrorist nations and organizations in this country. The fact that we have members of Congress doing this is outrageous, and I think they should be, at the very least, removed from the country, if not deported if they are not native-born Americans. It’s traitorous, in my opinion, and should be treated as such.
