Poll says AOC best reflects Democrat Party

There is some serious fallout for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) over this decision to allow the Republicans to pass their short-term spending bill.

So much so, Democrats are now reportedly calling for AOC to primary Schumer, a challenge he dismissed, but he may not want to get so cocky about this.

Call off the book tour

After Schumer rallied a handful of Democrats to support a procedural vote to block the filibuster, he came under serious fire.

Schumer was slated to go on a book tour this week to promote his new book on anti-Semitism, which is rather ironic, but I don’t want to get into that right now.

The tour was canceled due to security threats against Schumer after the funding bill passed the Senate, and his office stated, "Due to security concerns, Senator Schumer’s book events are being rescheduled.”

Schumer has been scheduled to attend several book promotion events, all in blue cities, which tells you how serious the pushback was on this.

The poll

A CNN poll was then taken to show who Democrats believe best represents the party right now and the winner of the poll was AOC, who led the field with 10% of the votes.

Right behind AOC were Kamala Harris and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), which is very concerning. This tells me the party as a whole is lunging even further to the left.

Also in the mix was Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who, when running for office, was a very well-spoken and clearly educated young woman, but she has reinvented herself as a representative from the hood with TikTok dance videos and vulgar comments in the media. Even her manner of speaking has changed since she was elected to office.

Schumer was at the bottom of the list, along with most of the older members of the party's old guard.

Don’t be so quick

When Schumer was asked about a possible challenge from AOC, he dismissed it, more or less brushing it off as nothing to worry about.

The New York Senator stated, "I am focused on bringing Trump's numbers down, his popularity down, exposing what he has done to America and what he will do. That's my focus right now. You know, three years from now is a long way to speculate. I believe that my hard work against Trump will pay off.”

Now, considering the results of the last election and how long Schumer has been in office, I dismissed the notion as well, but now I am not so sure.

I still believe AOC will wait until Schumer retires to go after that seat, but if she smells blood in the water and primary polling starts to tilt in her favor, she just might gamble and leave her seat in the House for the fame and glory of the Senate.
