Buttigieg caught in blatant lie regarding adoption of minority children
Former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has a problem with the truth, and he has just been caught in a major lie.
Like most Democrats, Buttigieg was pandering to minorities, but he got called out regarding the narrative he was pushing about the adoption of minority children.
Buttigieg announces adoption
After little Petey was named as the Secretary of Transportation, he and his partner, Chasten Buttigieg, adopted twins.
Buttigieg, the first openly gay “confirmed” Cabinet member, stated, “Chasten and I are beyond thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we’re becoming parents."
“We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family.”
What I found interesting about this is that when conservatives adopt black children, all kinds of accusations get thrown around, including high-profile minority pundits saying that white people have no right adopting black children because they cannot properly expose them to their culture. Yet, when two gay Democrats adopt black children, everyone is sitting on their hands and not saying a word.
Buttigieg claims adoption lists are racist
To my point above, Buttigieg has found a way to claim that just about everything in this country is racist, including roads, and, yes, now adoption lists.
Buttigieg stated, “By the way, anybody who says race is not a thing in this country should experience an adoption process where there are literally different lists. If you say that you want a white kid only, versus if you say that doesn’t matter. Like, literally a different list.
“The list for white kids is longer. Not only that, there was actually a discount, or you didn’t have to pay a deposit on the fetus. This is like, how it works. I couldn’t believe it.”
The numbers are not all that far off, and surely not what Buttigieg is suggesting. And people had no problem calling Buttigieg out for what he was insinuating.
He’s lying
Ryan Hanlon, the president of the National Council for Adoption, took exception to Buttigieg’s comments, blasting him in an op-ed posted in The Hill.
In part, he stated, “As someone who has worked with hundreds of adoption agencies and professionals across the country for decades, I can confidently say that [Buttigieg’s comments] misrepresent how private adoption works."
“More importantly, when media narratives confuse or conflate key facts, the real harm falls on children and families.”
As I have stated many times before, this is how Democrats play the game. If there is any opportunity to make something about race, they will because they know it leads to chaos and anger, and that is what that party thrives on. When you have the time, I highly encourage you to read that op-ed in full (click here), as it is rather eye-opening at the shamelessness of Democrats and their desire to make everything in this country about race.
