Colorado terror suspect identified
Sunday was yet another rude awakening to the rising antisemitism in this country, often by people who should not even be here.
That was the case in Colorado, where a man went off on a hate-filled rant, calling for the death of “Zionists.”
Pure hate
People are still getting over the horrific murders at the Holocaust museum when yet another disgusting show of antisemitism erupted in Colorado.
A video went viral on social media on Sunday of a bare-chested man in Colorado going on a rant about Zionists and calling out the deaths of children in Palestine.
The man could be seen holding several Molotov cocktails, some of which he set off and threw at passersby.
There were at least eight victims between the age of 52 and 88, including a woman who had fled Europe when the Nazis were in power in Germany.
Run for their lives
The attack took place at an event called “Run for Their Lives,” a pro-Israel event advocating for the release of hostages in Gaza whom Hamas had taken.
Its website explains, "You don’t need to be Jewish or Israeli to be disturbed by this crisis—all people around the world should be.
"Innocent children, women, the elderly, and young people should not be living in tunnels 20 meters underground for over a year—they should be in their homes with their families. Until this crisis is resolved, the world risks normalizing this unbearable situation.
“Our focus is not on the ‘how’ (pressure world leaders or military pressure). We are solely focused on the ‘what’: doing everything possible to bring them home!"
Got him
The man who allegedly carried out the horrific attack was identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, who was in the country illegally from Egypt. He entered the country during the Biden administration.
He was arrested at the scene, charged with one count of explosives or incendiary devices used during a felony and two counts of first-degree murder.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser stated, "From what we know, this attack appears to be a hate crime given the group that was targeted. People may have differing views about world events and the Israeli-Hamas conflict, but violence is never the answer to settling differences."
Soliman had been authorized to stay in this country through February 26, 2023, on B1-B2 visa, but he never left. In March 2023, the Biden administration extended his work authorization through March 2025, which had expired, meaning he was in the country illegally at that point. Another murder that never should have happened, but it did, and it was carried out by an illegal immigrant.
