Mamdani embarrasses himself during Men’s Day in Brooklyn
Zohran Mamdani is now a nationally recognized name, but he is about to become a meme.
Many of Mamdani’s radical plans are bringing more attention to his campaign, but what might cost him the race was an event during Men’s Day in Brooklyn.
Mamdani appeared to get stuck during a bench price, and now his opponents are roasting him.
No more crime
Before I get into his embarrassing day, a report just broke that Mamdani is looking to eliminate all misdemeanor offenses in the city.
He stated, “For all of the working class to achieve collective liberation we must constrain, diminish, and abolish the carceral forces of the state — from prisons and police themselves, to their manifestations in all forms throughout society.”
He added, “Police have a critical role to play but right now we’re relying on them to deal with the failures of our social safety net, which is preventing them from doing their actual jobs.”
This sounds horribly similar to a plan that was enacted in Dallas about two years ago, where petty theft has been wiped off the books. But guess what happened? It just resulted in street thugs being more aggressive in stealing from people.
Showing off
During the Men’s Day event, Mamdani figured it would be a good idea to bench press in front of the big crowd.
However, based on the video I saw, Mamdani could barely lift the 135 pounds, relying on a spotter who appeared to be doing all the work on the three bench presses that were done.
Mayor Adams took a shot, stating, “64 vs 33. A lifetime of hard work vs. a silver spoon. The results speak for themselves. The weight of the job is too heavy for ‘Mamscrawny.’ The only thing he can lift is your taxes.”
Andrew Cuomo added, “It’s easy to talk, it’s hard to carry the burden. This guy can’t bench his own body weight, let alone carry the weight of leading the most important city in the world.”
Current Polling
I have been waiting for all the negative stories to come back on Mamdani, but he continues to poll exceptionally well in a four-way race.
The latest polls have Mamdani at 41.8%-23.4% for Cuomo. Even in a heads-up race, he is beating Cuomo, but he has slid back just a bit.
One thing I have noticed is that his disapproval rating is starting to soar, now up over 40%, about 10 points higher than it was at the start of the race.
The only way he loses at this point is for Sliwa and Adams to drop out, allowing Cuomo to take him on. They still have more than two months, so, yes, I am saying there is still a chance that something could break that would prevent Mamdani and his socialist agenda from taking over that city.
