ABC Host Confirms Trump ‘Had an Effect’ on Cease-Fire Deal

This week, one of the big stories was a cease-fire deal being reached between Israel and Hamas.

While Biden claimed Trump played no role, the media, Hamas, Israel, and Biden aides, all confirmed that Trump was, in fact, very involved in the negotiations.

Are You Kidding

The cease-fire deal that was agreed to, in terms of the framework, was very much in line with what Biden and his administration had worked out before but had been rejected by both sides.

Biden commented on that after the deal was formalized, stating, "The elements of this deal are what I laid out in detail this past May. The road to this deal has not been easy. I've worked in foreign policy for decades. This is one of the toughest negotiations I've ever experienced."

Biden actually admitted that Trump’s team was in the room, adding, "For the past few days, we've been speaking as one team.”

Yet, when it came time to give Trump and his team any credit for the deal being agreed upon, Biden stated, "Is that a joke?"

Media Admits Trump’s Role

After the deal was finalized, ABC News host Martha Raddatz appeared on “The View” to comment on the deal, admitting that Trump played a rather significant role in getting this deal formalized.

She stated, "Well, there are certainly hostage families on the street in Tel Aviv who say it is Donald Trump who helped get this over the line, and they have been working hand in glove. You have to give the Biden administration props for everything they’ve done so far.”

She added, "But you heard President-elect Trump say there would be hell to pay if the hostages were not released, if there was not a cease-fire agreement before he took office. And that seems to have resonated over there. Whether it really put Hamas over the line, we don’t know about that, but it did have some effect.”

The media and Biden officials gave Donald Trump credit, with Spokesman John Kirby saying there was more than enough credit to go around on this one.

Hamas Gives Trump Props

Senior Hamas official Basem Naim has also talked to the media about the deal, acknowledging that Trump did play a role in getting this deal signed…

Trump clearly wanted to make sure he got his round of applause for this one, having posted on Truth Social, "This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies.

“We have achieved so much without even being in the White House. Just imagine all of the wonderful things that will happen when I return to the White House, and my Administration is fully confirmed."

My take… I think Hamas realized that there was no better deal to be had than what was on the table right now, and with Trump firing off threats and his officials in the room staring them down, they figured they better get it done now before Trump gives Israel the green light to eliminate them altogether. What makes me uncomfortable about this is that Hamas is still in existence, so we all know how this will eventually play out.
