Adam Schiff warns party has a ‘major problem’
As we all know, over the last few decades, some of the jewels of California have been ruined by Democrats.
Cities like San Francisco and San Diego used to be beautiful tourist cities, but now people have to worry about homeless people crashing their dinners and rampant crime, of which Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) was just brutally reminded.
Ignoring the obvious
In all fairness to California, some cities have actually seen a significant drop in crime over the last year.
San Francisco, for instance, has seen its lowest crime rates in 23 years.
Chief of Police Bill Scott stated, "Across the board with violent crime, from robberies to shootings to homicides to sexual assaults, they're all down.”
San Francisco Mayor-Elect Daniel Lurie added, "I commend SFPD and, and but we can't stop. We've got to continue to get better. I want SFPD to be known as the greatest police department in the country."
Pelosi always in denial
That is not the norm, however, as anyone who has visited cities like Los Angeles and San Diego can tell you.
When Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked about the crime sprees in San Francisco in 2021, she blamed it on a national crime wave, when that was not the case.
She stated, “It’s absolutely outrageous. Obviously, it cannot continue. But the fact [is] that there is an attitude of lawlessness in our country that springs from I don’t know where … and we cannot have that lawlessness become the norm. It must be stopped, and it’s not just San Francisco. It’s in our entire country.”
In reality, the worst cities in the country were under Democrat rule, and there was no sign of times changing in these cities as Democrats looked for ways to put criminals back on the streets rather than hold them accountable.
Schiff gets a taste
Schiff learned firsthand about the crime problems in California, having his luggage stolen from his car during a trip to San Francisco. But more shocking than the theft was how a cashier at Target talked to him.
Schiff stated, "And what was most memorable about the experience for me is I went to this Target in South San Francisco, 10 o'clock at night, and I'm getting the toiletries I'm gonna need for my next two days in the city. First of all, I had to get the clerk, which is hard to find, to unlock the shampoo or the whatever. So that's one thing."
"And then I get to the cashier. The cashier asked me if I want one of those Target bags with a little bullseye on it. And I said, ‘Yes, that Target bag is gonna be my luggage for the next two days. And she asked me what happened, and I told her, and she basically said in not so many words, ’Yeah, Democrats are a---h---s.' And I thought, you know, if the cashier in South San Francisco at 10 o'clock at night believes that Democrats are a---h---s because the shampoo was locked up and my stuff got stolen out of the trunk, we've got a major problem that we have to address."
Yet, while this was happening, Democrats were pushing for no cash bail and pushing Biden to pardon criminals. This is what happens when you treat people who break the law as a priority over law-abiding citizens. Schiff is at the top of that list, yet he just won his election for Senator after being exposed as a blatant liar to the American people. California, if you ask me, is getting what it deserves.
