African Military Base Abandoned by United States

Joe Biden is supposed to be the man with a plan when it comes to foreign policy.

Yet, in every corner of the world, we seem to be having more and more problems.

The latest is leaving behind a $110 million base as the new regime takes power in Africa.

See Ya!

On Monday, it was announced that the United States forces had been completely withdrawn from a $110 million base in Niger, Africa.

The base had been home to hundreds of American troops, who have now left the country at the request of the new regime.

The base, Air Base 201, cost the Pentagon, which means the American taxpayer, $110 million to build, first opening in 2019.

It has also cost us $30 million a year to maintain, all of which is now money flushed down the toilet.

So, if my math is right, we have spent about $260 million on a base that we just walked away from because Joe Biden is clueless.

This is a problem because this base was one of the bases that our military was working out of to monitor and fight terror networks such as al Qaeda and ISIS.

The Pentagon offered nothing but spin in making its announcement regarding leaving the base, stating, “This effort began on May 19 following the mutual establishment of withdrawal conditions and coordination will continue between U.S. and Nigerien armed forces over the coming weeks to ensure the full withdrawal is complete as planned.

“The effective cooperation and communication between the U.S. and Nigerien armed forces ensured that this turnover was finished ahead of schedule and without complications.”

To add insult to injury, Biden has once again left behind some military equipment, which will surely be used by the new regime, which is no friend to the United States.

Maj. Gen. Kenneth P. Ekman of the Air Force explained, “This does make safeguarding U.S. security interests in the Sahel that much harder.

“The threats from ISIS and Al Qaeda in the region are getting worse every day.”

Yet, Joe Biden will look us all in the eye and tell us that he had made the world a safer place because he united the clowns in the United Nations and returned funding to UNRWA, an organization that was infiltrated by terrorists.

Nice job, Joe.
