AG Pam Bondi threatens to prosecute ICE raid location leakers
Recently, someone within the ranks of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reportedly leaked critical details on when the next immigration raid was happening, causing a major headache for President Donald Trump's administration.
According to the Daily Mail, AG Bondi is determined to find out exactly who leaked the information and even more importantly, prevent it from happening again.
Bondi said her office will "come after" whoever leaked the information, which included location data regarding the next series of ICE raids.
President Donald Trump's vow to deport millions of illegal immigrants is being met with resistance across the country, but AG Pam Bondi is taking the lead in making sure it goes off without a hitch.
What's going on?
News broke last week when a leaker revealed that the next major ICE raid would occur in the city of Los Angeles sometime by the end of February.
The raid was described as a "large scale" action that would likely included the arrest and deportation of hundreds, if not thousands, of illegal aliens residing in the L.A. area.
During a quick interview with reporters during the Super Bowl, Bond made it clear that she will not tolerate leaks within the ranks of her federal law enforcement agencies.
"If anyone leaks anything, people don't understand that jeopardizes the lives of our great men and women in law enforcement, and if you leaked it, we will find out who you are and we will come after you," Bondi said.
Bondi also made it clear that leaking such information will ultimately not stop the Trump administration from carrying through with its mission.
"It's not going to stop the president's mission to make America safe again. If you don't follow the law, you will be prosecuted by the Department of Justice," she added.
