Biden climate czar doled out $375 billion, some to just established organizations

John Podesta is about as deeply entrenched in the Democrat establishment as one can be, having worked in the Clinton, Obama, and Biden administrations.

Biden tapped Podesta as one of his climate change czars, serving several different roles, including dispensing $375 billion in taxpayer money to clean energy companies and organizations.

During a recent Project Veritas video, it was revealed that in the waning days of the Biden administration, they were more worried about giving away big chunks of that money rather than it sitting there once Trump took office.

For instance, in the report, EPA adviser Brent Efron was caught saying, “Get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump administration] come in … it’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge.”

It was also revealed that many of the organizations that were receiving money had former Biden officials at the helm. There were also a shocking number of organizations that had been formed only months before a fat check was cut out of the Podesta Fund.

A recent New York Post report noted that Kamala Harris showed up with a $7 billion check to Climate United Fund, which, at the time, had no federal filings and nothing listed in the IRS’s charities database.

Failing EVs

Joe Biden made it clear that he wanted to save the EV industry as part of his legacy, and as such, he was cutting some huge checks to keep failing companies afloat.

For instance, Rivian was losing about $4 billion in the first three quarters of 2024 when Biden gave the company a loan for more than $6.5 billion. After the company got the check, Rivian stated, “This loan will help us accelerate the launch of our Georgia plant for R2 [SUV] and R3 [crossover], providing thousands of jobs in the state.

“People are incredibly excited to get behind the wheel of our new models, and this additional capacity for our mass market products is key to U.S. leadership in the electric vehicle industry.”

The Biden administration also gave a major contract to an EV bus maker, which is now nearly bankrupt, leaving many school districts in limbo, as they had bought into the hype. Lion Electric was contracted to build about $160 million in EV buses, but the company has since initiated bankruptcy proceedings and laid off its staff, burning more taxpayer money in the process.

$3 Billion Loan Up in Smoke

Biden also issued a $3 billion loan to a company called Sunnova Energy, but now that company is also in trouble financially.

This week, the company announced that its current finances are "not sufficient to meet obligations and fund operations for a period of at least one year from the date we issue our consolidated financial statements without implementing additional measures.

"Therefore, substantial doubt exists regarding our ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least one year from the date we issue our consolidated financial statements.”

Not only is the company going under, but it has also been the subject of consumer complaints for scamming elderly clients out of their money. This is Biden’s legacy… wasting billions of taxpayer dollars to make it appear as though he is the clean energy king, when all he did was throw our money into the fireplace.
