Biden Reportedly Wanted Trump Prosecuted Earlier
Some interesting reports are coming out of DC now regarding the appointment of Merrick Garland as Joe Biden’s attorney general.
Biden is reportedly regretting having appointed Garland because Biden wanted Trump prosecuted earlier.
The Trump Trials
Trump has always stated that the DOJ had been weaponized against him, and with every passing day, we find out something new that seems to back that up.
I have always stated that Trump was not innocent in many of these cases, but I also stated that the charges against him were overblown, especially in the hush-money case.
As it turns out, reports are now showing up that Biden was hoping to have Trump prosecuted earlier, showing that Biden really was using his DOJ to go after Trump, only Garland did not move as quickly as Joe Biden had hoped.
Honestly, while Trump’s attorneys were lacking in the courtroom, the work they did to delay these cases was pretty impressive, so I am not sure Garland ever had a shot on that front.
Regretting Garland
A new report has surfaced in the Washington Post that Joe Biden is telling his people privately that he now regrets nominating Garland as his attorney general.
Biden is upset that Garland did not press his people to move these investigations along a lot quicker.
The report stated, “In private, Biden has also said he should have picked someone other than Merrick Garland as attorney general, complaining about the Justice Department’s slowness under Garland in prosecuting Trump, and its aggressiveness in prosecuting Biden’s son Hunter, according to people familiar with his comments.”
This could also be why former Chief of Staff Ron Klain left the administration. It was reportedly Klain who pressed for Garland after the GOP blocked his nomination for the Supreme Court.
I Could Have Won
There are also now reports that Biden believes he could have won the election had he stayed in, which is why I am also sure Biden has an issue with Garland.
Biden has been telling insiders that he now regrets leaving the race, convinced that even though he had slumping polls, he believes he could have beaten Donald Trump had he not allowed the leaders in the Democrat Party to push him out.
However, the report also stated that he is being very careful not to diss Kamala Harris in the process, not blaming her or her campaign for the devasting loss in the 2024 election.
I can say with confidence that if Biden had stayed in this election, the loss would have been even worse for Democrats. It took Trump some time to get ahead of Harris, whereas Trump was already crushing Biden. All those late stops Trump made in Democrat strongholds would have taken place much earlier, and I believe Trump could have possibly taken a few blue states. Not only that, I think the congressional races would have handed even more seats over to Democrats, as voter turnout on the left would have been far less.
