Chicago mayor appears to encourage violent protests

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, by all accounts, has been a complete and utter failure, but he now appears to be hoping that the unrest regarding ICE raids around the country can save his career  

To that point, like other Democrats, he is encouraging residents to “rise up” against ICE, but when you consider the temperature right now, that sure does sound like he is encouraging violent riots to me.  

Risky Territory 

The American people have been pretty clear about how they feel regarding illegal immigration, yet Democrats continue to fight on a hill that could wind up being the death of their party.  

As these riots continue regarding ICE raids, which are merely upholding our immigration laws, Democrats put the onus of the raids on Trump for daring to hold people accountable to the law.  

For instance, Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) stated, “The president would like nothing better than to create a conflict in L.A. to demonstrate his strongman credentials by then cracking down on the chaos. The president is a chaos agent. He thrives on disorder. He thrives on situations that allow him to pretend, to act like a strongman.” 

If I were a resident in California, I would be livid that my elected representatives were advocating for chaos over order, but that is exactly what they are doing right now.  

Gaslighting 

In addition to blaming Trump, they are also lying about what is taking place.  

For most of the last week, the American people have seen videos of stores being looted and cars set on fire in their city streets, yet Dems and the media say there is no violence, and when they dare to show the destruction, they say that having the police come in to restore order will only escalate things.  

As an example, after days of violent rioting took place in California, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) stated, “Nobody was shot, nobody was killed, get it into your head. Don’t think that somehow because they called out the National Guard there was violence. There was no violence. I was on the street, I know. 

"And I went from downtown detention back out into the community.  What happened in Paramount, what happened in Compton, what happened in Inglewood: Get it straight, and don’t just rely on what you’re being told or the few incidents you saw,” About 24 hours after she said those words, Waters did another interview where she blamed Donald Trump for all the violence taking place in her state. It is utterly comical. This is gaslighting 101.  

Rise Up 

This brings us to Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who is presiding over a city that is always a powder keg, and he seems like he is now content to strike the match.  

With the “No Kings” protests scheduled to take place on Saturday, which we all knew would turn violent, at least some of them, Johnson stated, “This is a necessary fight for all of us to be able to push back. Whether we use the courts or whether we continue to protest and raise our voices, dissent matters in this moment. 

“It’s a war on our culture. It’s a war on our democracy. It’s a war on our humanity. I am counting on all of Chicago to resist in this moment because, whatever particular vulnerable group is being targeted today, another group will be next. … None of us are immune from this disease."

He used all the right trigger words here: “war on democracy,” “war on our culture,” “war on our humanity,” “necessary fight,” “push back,” “rise up,” and “resist.” These are all trigger words, and they were all used during his comments. I have no doubt Democrats want chaos in the streets, and they want liberals and conservatives to literally go to war with each other, all so they can retake the power in D.C. They are playing us like a fiddle, and it is working on their side of the aisle for sure, and because it is working, it is feeding into the anger conservatives are feeling over this destruction. The tea leaves here are very easy to read because we saw this play out during the 2020 election cycle, and we all know how that ended.
