Clint Eastwood’s Daughter Says He Was ‘Very Strict’ Father Growing Up

Francesca Eastwood has a new movie coming out, so she is doing the circuit.

She is also dishing about her legendary father, Clint Eastwood.

During a recent interview, she shared what it was like growing up with the Hollywood legend.

Strict Father

Francesca is one of those actresses who you don’t realize who she is until you see her name in print next to her photo.

I have seen her in at least a half-dozen films, but I never realized she was Clint’s daughter.

For instance, she was in “True Crime,” “Jersey Boys,” “Perception,” and the TV show “Fargo.”

Some of her more recent projects were the character Mica in “Attention Attention,” Nora Johnson in “Hill Hikers,” a short movie, and Janet in “Clawfoot,” which just came out last year.

Unlike her brother, Scott Eastwood, she is far from a dead ringer as a child of Clint’s, so the connection does not automatically come.

They do, however, share the same upbringing in a house with a mega-star who had to balance parenting with stardom.

She shared her thoughts on Clint being a father as well as a grandfather, stating, "I mean, just the sweetest.

"You know, my dad was very strict and my mom — both my parents were very strict with me when I was a kid. And it's so lovely and sometimes bittersweet to just see how just doting and just classic grandpa and grandma to their grandson who can do no wrong."

Scott Eastwood is her half-brother from when Clint was with Jacelyn Reeves. Francesca’s mother is Frances Fisher, who was with Eastwood from 1990-95.

Fisher, if you recall, co-starred with Clint in his epic, “Unforgiven,” playing one of the prostitutes in the local bar where Eastwood’s character got beat up, inspiring him to come back and take on Gene Hackman’s character.

Francesca looks far more like Fisher than Clint, and that is probably a good thing.
