Comedian Perry Kurtz dead in hit-and-run incident

Shocking news has left America mourning.

A star of the hit TV show America’s Got Talent is dead after a hit-and-run accident.

Perry Kurtz took the show by storm with his musical comedy routine back in 2013, labeling his material as “comedy and music for all ages.”

After the show, he went on to perform at venues throughout California for the years following his performance on America’s Got Talent.

News of any unexpected death is always jarring, but some more than others.

Kurtz death was absolutely shattering.

A press release reported the devastating details.

“A gray Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard when it struck and killed a pedestrian who was walking across Ventura Boulevard east of Corbin Avenue,” the press release reported.

What the press release said next was absolutely devastating.

“The pedestrian was thrown into an easterly direction before colliding with the roadway. The Honda continued eastbound failing to stop, identify self, or render aid as required by law,” it continued.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Kurtz was said to be a teenager.

At this time, no other information has been released of the incident.

Kurtz’s representative Dante Rusciolelli has since released a statement on his passing.

“Golden Artists Entertainement and myself are personally devastated by this news. Perry was not only a client, he’s been my friend since 1987. He has been a staple in the Los Angeles comedy community for decades and will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with his family,” Rusciolelli said.

We pray for anyone who knew and loved Perry Kurtz.

He spent his final years doing what he loved most -- making people laugh.

Being able to say that you pursued your life passion is something that most only dream of.

Kurtz lived his dreams out.

May Perry Kurtz rest in peace.
