Controversial NYC mayoral candidate now impacting Democrat campaigns

When the people of New York City nominated Zohran Mamdani on the Democrat ticket, it was a gift to the GOP. The more we learn, the more radical we find out he is, and the GOP plans on using it to crush NY Democrats.

Dems in swing seats in the state are now being backed into the corner to make their position known when it comes to the Democrat Socialist.

He does not represent us

Right out of the gate, there were Democrats who made it very clear that while Mamdani is on the Democrat ticket, his policies do not speak for the entire party.

Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) was one of the first to speak out against his policies, while being a bit coy in the process.

He stated, “Mamdani isn’t speaking for our party, any more than I’m speaking for our party. It’s a big tent. It’s a big coalition.”

They know he is a problem, and something tells me that many of them are hoping that Adams drops out, which would give Cuomo a big edge in the election.

Going on the attack

The GOP sees this as a huge opportunity, and they plan on using it against other Democrats in the state, and possibly nationally, but that would likely be after the election.

Staten Island Republican chairman Michael Tannousis stated, “If there was ever any doubt that our city is headed in the wrong direction, this past Democratic mayoral primary election gave people their answer.”

The GOP candidate, Curtis Sliwa, is an afterthought at this point. The problem for Andrew Cuomo is that Mayor Adams is insistent on remaining in the race.

If he does, current polling has Cuomo and Mamdani tied. But if Adams drops out, the advantage goes to Cuomo.

More information

Last week, reports surfaced that Mamdani had gone to Uganda for his wedding celebration, but the reports are not going to help Mamdani at all.

The event was something you would see in Hollywood or among the rich in our country, with the New York Post having reported that it was a “lavish, three-day affair at his family’s ritzy, secluded Ugandan compound — complete with masked security guards and a cellphone jamming system.”

For some reason, his wedding, which had happened months before, was not well reported, and the only reason we knew about this was because he posted about it in answering a question to someone on X who had told him to go back to Uganda.

Even that is not the problem. What is the problem is that he is advocating for the government to take over, while his family is rich and among the so-called elite. This is about his family being in a position to control the government that the people of New York City would have to rely on… nothing more.
