Cory Booker rages about USAID cuts
Up until about 72 hours ago, I would imagine that most people in this country had no clue about USAID.
Now, Democrats have people so fired up about, they are talking about an uprising in the streets, and it is all being led by Democrat wildcard Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ).
Musk Exposes Corruption
USAID was the first thing on Musk’s agenda for DOGE, and he really hit a nerve.
His initial report exposed millions the government was spending on ads and subscriptions with legacy media outlets, possible fraud, excessive waste on truly bizarre programs, and possible money laundering schemes.
After his report, Trump ordered Secretary of State Marco Rubio to take over the agency, which he has since delegated.
But the doors of the agency are currently locked, with all staffers being told to stay home.
Protests Erupt
There are clearly some good programs that are handled via USAID, but that does not make up for all the waste.
The programs that are legit can easily be folded into other agencies, but the waste and fraud must be ended.
Protests erupted in DC, packed with friends and family members, as well as some staffers from USAID. There were also a few politicians out there. For instance, Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) stated, "No one is more delighted that the United States is retreating from its global leadership role than the Communist Party of China.
"I want to be clear: The latest attempt by the Trump administration to freeze U.S.-funded foreign aid assistance and punish the men and women who are working at the agency is a gift to our adversaries that will make us less safe."
Booker Goes Off
Cory Booker has a big mouth, as we all saw during the 2020 Democrat primary race. Rather than speak to the clear waste and corruption at USAID, Booker chose to go unhinged…
Why is Cory Booker so angry at the idea of making sure American tax dollars are spent to further the national interest of the United States and not on things like "LGBT activism" in Guatemala? pic.twitter.com/e3DPgs3a30

Senator Mike Testa (R-NJ) responded, "New Jerseyans have been kicked in the face and forgotten by their United States Senators for years. We deserve a hell of a lot better."
I would feel a lot better about our elected officials if they even hinted that they wanted to check on the waste and fraud, rather than holding these ridiculous rallies.
Again, I am not saying we need to throw out the baby with the bathwater here, but when you spending money on transgender operas and comic books, and sending checks to roadside shacks that appear to be clear fronts for terrorist organizations, I think someone needs to audit the books.
