Crockett calls Trump a ‘wannabe Hitler’

In all my time, not just covering politics, I have never seen a more politically charged environment in this country.

Dems have been getting supporters riled up for years, yet even after two assassination attempts and repeated violence that is clearly associated with politics, they keep firing. The latest show is one from Rep. Crockett (D-TX), the most recent Democrat to slap the Hitler label on Trump.

Getting it started

I have tried to find the real start to the Trump being Hitler narrative, and while she did not start it, Jane Fonda made a comment in 2018 that got a lot of attention and really put this idea into the left’s collective heads.

At the time, Fonda stated, “If you have read anything about the rise of the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler you will see the parallels.

“Attacking the media is the first step and move toward fascism. The cornerstone of democracy is an independent, democratic media. And it’s under attack in a major way because bad guys are running it all. We have to make sure it doesn’t continue.”

From that point forward, the left latched on to this narrative, and they have not let go.

Modern-day Gestapo

At this point, anyone in the national spotlight seems to have called Trump “Hitler” or some variation of it.

One of the most recent who set off the GOP was Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who, during a commencement speech, likened ICE to a “modern-day Gestapo.”

ICE Acting Director Todd M. Lyons went ballistic, responding, “On the final day of National Police Week — when those brave enough to put on a badge and a uniform mourn their fallen brothers and sisters — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz referred to my professional, hard-working ICE agents and officers as ‘modern-day Gestapo.’ This abhorrent, dehumanizing and ignorant comment should not be tolerated.

"It seems that Mr. Walz prefers violent criminal aliens are released into Minnesota’s communities. If the governor doesn’t like the laws, he’s free to advocate that Congress change them, but he should refrain from putting ICE officers in danger by likening them to one of the most appalling groups in history.”

Here we go again

Attacks on ICE agents are now up about 700% over the same period last year, and we have already seen more attacks against them in that period than there were during all of last year.

The attacks by Dems, however, have not stopped, with Rep. Crockett now joining in. She recently commented on the Epstein files debacle that Republicans have created, stating, “They want to show that they’re loyal to this, you know, I don’t even know what to call him. I’ve called him so many things, but this wannabe Hitler for sure. They want to pledge their loyalty to him, and they know that he does not want this released.”

Again, you cannot help but laugh at the irony of this when you consider how Democrats have been mum on the files for years due to Epstein’s connection to Bill Clinton.

I firmly believe Democrats want this pot to boil over, and I feel like I am talking people down from exploding more often than not, simply because I don’t want to see Americans at each other’s throats due to the rhetoric these people toss out on a daily basis. Sadly, I am not sure how much longer this country has before this pot boils over.
