Death of Gene Hackman’s wife’s timeline now in doubt

Movie fans were horrified to learn of the shocking death of Gene Hackman and his wife.

While authorities had released a timeline of their deaths, it now appears they got their facts wrong.

The Initial Timeline

Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead, their bodies showed signs of mummification, meaning they had been there for some time.

While we were all spinning theories, most of them were wrong, including what I had speculated.

It turned out, Arakawa was the first one to die, leaving Hackman, who was allegedly suffering from Alzheimer’s, alone in the house.

The first report stated that authorities believed she had died on February 11, but they inexcusably got that wrong.

Oops

The timeline was changed to February 12, as this was the last communication on Arakawa’s phone, so what I am trying to figure out is how authorities missed that when they initially announced she had likely died on February 11.

The Santa Fe Sherriff’s Office confirmed the new timeline, stating, “We can now confirm that Mrs. Hackman’s phone was utilized on the morning of February 12 to call a medical center in Santa Fe, Cloudberry Health. A total of three calls were made that morning, all to the medical center.

“One incoming call was made to Mrs. Hackman from the same medical center that afternoon. That appeared as a missed call on Mrs. Hackman’s cell phone.”

I have to say, if they got something so basic wrong, can we really trust the results of this investigation?

One More Thing…

I have one more tidbit from this case that I want to discuss, then I will drop it.

This week, the court ruled that photos from the scene would not be made public. I am trying to figure out what sicko wanted to see the pictures of Hackman and his wife mummified published publicly?

Thankfully, Hackman’s estate sued to block the release of the photos, as there is simply no way his family should be put through seeing something like that all over the news and internet.

Hackman lived out his final days in privacy, and that is exactly how his death should be treated. The man was a legendary actor, and I think that is how most people would prefer to remember him, not as a frail, mummified corpse. Is the media really so desperate for clicks that they need to publicize those photos? It’s disgusting and unforgivable.
