Democrat governor concedes Biden was not the strongest communicator
It sure is funny how the Democrat narrative on Joe Biden has changed since the Democrats lost the election.
Dems went from saying everything was fine to ousting Biden from the election to now blaming him for all their problems, including a Democrat governor who just came forward to rip Biden’s communication skills.
Joe is Just Fine
As questions started to arise about Biden’s mental health, the Democrat Party started to circle the wagons around Joe. The episodes were happening more often, and even the media was finally starting to push back.
This led to a July 2024 press conference where then-White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked if Biden had been treated for Parkinson’s or some other condition.
She responded, "Has the president been treated for Parkinson's? No. Is he being treated for Parkinson's? No."
Biden’s doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, had also released a statement on Biden’s mental health stating that his exams contained "no findings which would be consistent with any cerebellar or other central neurological disorder.”
Saving His Campaign
After the debate against Trump, the curtain was pulled back on Biden, and the entire party started to bail on him, including a coup by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to have Biden removed from the ticket.
Biden scheduled a press conference and sit-down interviews in an attempt to save his campaign, but Democrats were not buying it. One Democrat, regarding the conversations within the party to have Biden removed, stated, “Anyone who thinks this is over is mistaken.” Another added that the calls to have Biden removed were only “getting worse.”
Another Democrat adviser stated that Biden’s tone was softening behind the scenes, even though Biden remained defiant in public. The adviser stated, “He’s gone from saying, ‘Kamala can’t win,’ to ‘Do you think Kamala can win? It’s still unclear where he’s going to land but seems to be listening.”
As we all know, Biden eventually caved to the pressure and dropped out among collapsing polls. Harris was initially spotted about a four-point advantage, but that was erased by election day, with Trump having a landslide win over Harris.
Democrat Governor Comes Clean
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is now among the Democrats looking to distance herself from the fiasco that was the Biden campaign.
Healey just tossed Biden under the bus, stating, "I think the party was hampered by having President Biden as the communicator in chief, if I’m being honest. He wasn’t the strongest communicator in chief, and that hurt us because they weren’t able to sell all of the important accomplishments effectively.”
Not only that, but she then hinted that Biden waiting so long to drop out cost Harris the election, adding, "Are we grappling with what happened and having to deal with it right now? You better believe it. We’ve got Donald Trump in the White House. I think it was very hard for Kamala Harris, who I thought ran a fantastic campaign, to be able to overcome the disadvantage within the time that she was allotted.”
Healey went on to say that Biden should have turned it over to Harris about halfway through his presidency, but I would ask why she did not make that noise during the Biden presidency? Dems got what they deserved, yet it appears they learned no lessons from the 2024 election, as they continue to double and triple-down on the same policies that cost them and Harris in the last election.
