Dems beside themselves after socialist wins NYC primary race

There is a little something brewing in New York City that could be a huge problem for Democrats.

A true socialist is about to be elected mayor, and it could literally change the future landscape of the party.

I Concede

The entire Democrat establishment backed Andrew Cuomo in this race, and most people thought this would be an easy peasy win for the disgraced former governor.

As it turns out, New Yorkers are sick of Cuomo, and Democrat voters put Zohran Mamdani on the Democrat ticket for mayor.

After Cuomo conceded, Mamdani stated, "In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it's done. My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.

"I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City."

What Is Going On

You have probably already figured out that Mamdani was backed by AOC and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

This sent the Democrat establishment into a tizzy, and while several in Democrat leadership congratulated Mamdani on his win, they did not go so far as to endorse him in the general election.

There were even some Democrats who said they would drop out of their respective races if he won, but we have to see if they follow through on that.

Lis Smith, a longtime Democratic operative, hit the nail on the head, stating, "This is an outcome of their own creation. If you don't want to lose to a socialist, don't run a fatally flawed candidate like Andrew Cuomo.”

AOC for President

This was a big win for AOC and her people, and the Mamdani win now has her circle more confident than ever that AOC may want to think bigger than Congress in 2028.

Corbin Trent, Ocasio-Cortez’s former spokesperson, stated, “It just continues to open more doors. It just broadens her horizons.” He went on to say that she should not be underestimated.

Others are pointing to Cuomo’s record as the downfall, and do not believe this is a sign of the future. One Democrat operative commented, “[Cuomo] had the consulting class, the lobbyists, and nasty operatives, and then his own track record. There’s nothing to like.”

I have faith that the people of this country can see how dangerous AOC is and would not put her into that position. She hates America; of that I am convinced. She wants to shred our Constitution and turn America into a communist-like country. Not all are as confident as I am, but I see this is a blip on the screen, but don’t get me wrong, it still scares the hell out of me.
