Dems getting upset with Biden’s attempt to get back into the spotlight
Last week, Joe Biden finally crawled out from his rock to appear on “The View” as well as a few other interviews.
In the process, Biden reminded Americans why Dems wanted him removed, and now the party is seething and trying to figure out a way to make Joe go away.
Biden on ‘The View’
Biden was asked for his take on Trump’s first 100 days, and he responded, "He's had the worst 100 days any president's ever had.” This coming from a man who destroyed our economy and abandoned Americans behind enemy lines.
Biden then insinuated that anyone who did not vote for Harris was sexist, racist, or possibly even both, stating, "I've never seen quite as successful and consistent campaign undercutting the notion that a woman couldn't lead the country, and a woman of mixed race.”
When Joe was asked about the recent books on his mental decline, Biden held the line, but then stumbled during his answer, with Jill having to bail him out, insisting that he worked long hours and did not avoid the media, which is a complete and utter joke.
Jill stated, "I did not create a cocoon around him. I mean, you saw him in the Oval Office. You saw him making speeches. He wasn't hiding somewhere.”
Dems seething
After Biden’s interviews were posted, there were numerous reports that Democrat leadership was not happy that Joe decided to come out for a quick public trip.
Democrat strategist and former Biden administration official Anthony Cole stated, "Elections are about the future. Every time Joe Biden emerges, we fight an old war.
"Every interview he does provides a contrast to Trump that’s just not helpful for the Democratic brand, which needs trusted messengers and fighters who can reach independents and moderates and inspire the base. Joe Biden ain’t that."
When Cole was asked about Biden trying to take responsibility for the election loss, he added, "Honestly, what good does that do now? Many Democrats — from elected leaders to the party faithful — are just ready to turn the page. I just don’t think he understands how wide and deep this sentiment is.”
New York Times wants Biden to go away
A publication that often stuck up and covered for Biden during his presidency even called Joe out after the BBC and “The View” interviews were posted.
New York Times columnist David Brooks commented on Biden saying he would have won, stating, "You know, I think he's empirically wrong about that. Kamala Harris ran about as good a campaign as she could. She was saddled with the Biden legacy, an unpopular presidency. Biden would have been saddled by that legacy in addition to his age. So, you take those two factors, it's hard to see how he wins.”
He added that he would tell Biden to stop talking partisan politics after leaving office, stating, "I would only counsel him as someone who's a longtime admirer of Joe Biden, is that what we want from our presidents is not more politics. What we want from our presidents is somebody who's post-politics, who can speak to us from a higher level, not in the partisan mud. And Jimmy Carter did that. I think George W. Bush has done that through his painting.”
Brooks further stated that Biden is likely stepping out like this to defend himself because his pride is being dinged by this onslaught of books about his mental decline, and he is probably right, but so are the books. The best thing that Biden can do right now is go back to Delaware and take naps on the beach because every time he opens his mouth, he hands us another win.
