Fani Willis Ordered to Turnover Trump Case Communications

There has been a very interesting development in the Georgia RICO case against Donald Trump.

Judicial Watch just won a huge ruling that will require Willis to turn over all communications she may have had with the January 6 Select Committee and Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office.

First Blow

Before Fani Willis can get Donald Trump into court, they have to settle the issue of Willis being removed from the case.

Trump has been trying to have Willis disqualified for months, but his effort got a significant boost when it was revealed that Willis was having an affair with one of her prosecutors, Nathan Wade.

Oral arguments were set for December 5, but the appeals court canceled arguments back in the middle of November, signaling that this case was going to be put on ice for the foreseeable future.

While the case against Trump has been suspended, there are more than a dozen other defendants who are awaiting their fate, as the Willis appeal will also impact their cases.

We Want the Documentation

While Willis was fighting against her disqualification, she was also being attacked by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who believed Willis was working with the DOJ to coordinate the charges being filed against Donald Trump.

Jordan sent demanding the communications, which, in part, stated, "The Committee on the Judiciary continues to conduct oversight of politically motivated prosecutions by state and local officials.

“Based on recent reports, we believe that you possess documents and information about the coordination of the Fulton County District Attorney's Office (FCDAO) with other politically motivated investigations and prosecutions and the potential misuse of federal funds. Accordingly, we ask for your cooperation with our oversight.”

Willis has put up roadblocks ever since, refusing to hand over any documentation, insisting that everything they did was above board in this investigation.

Fulton County Superior Judge Robert McBurney ruled in favor of Judicial Watch, ordering all documentation regarding these communications turned over. If there was coordination, this is a bombshell that will crush the Democrat Party.

Legal expert Jonathan Turley explained, “This entire case is leaking like a sieve. And it always has because it was based on, in my view, a ridiculous RICO [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations] theory to get to the president.

“There are some crimes in this case, I think they’re relatively minor, against some defendants, like unauthorized access, but to get the president, they had to create this real Rube Goldberg type of racketeering theory that I don’t think will hold up upon review. And on top of that, you have Willis’ own conduct and whether she should be removed from the case.”

As I noted above, if they can prove these offices were coordinating, it will raise some serious legal questions. When that happens, Democrats will try to sell it all as revenge, but I have zero issue with exposing abuse of power.
