FBI agent critical of Rudy Guiliani charged
The history of animosity between Donald Trump and the FBI is well documented.
But Trump may have just had the last laugh, as an agent that stirred the pot regarding Trump has just been charged for disclosing classified information.
FISA Warrant Abuse
This rift between Trump and the FBI goes all the way back to Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign, which has been accused of colluding with the Russians.
During that investigation, the FBI blatantly disregarded FISA rules and issued numerous warrants on bogus information and claims.
This was all investigated by the Senate Judiciary Committee as well as another investigation by the Inspector General.
Shockingly, only one low-level staffer was accountable, while people like then-Director James Comey was completely let off the hook for his actions and encouragement of the investigation.
FBI Agent Says Giuliani Was Co-opted by Russian Intelligence
Next came an attack against top Trump ally, Rudy Giuliani.
FBI Agent Johnathan Buma came forward with explosive allegations saying that the agency had stifled an investigation into Giuliani.
According to the leaked document, Buma claimed, “Giuliani was used as an asset by a Ukrainian oligarch tied to Russian intelligence and other Russian operatives for a disinformation operation that aimed to discredit Joe Biden and boost Trump in the 2020 presidential race. Moreover, Buma says he was the target of retaliation within the bureau for digging into this.”
The FBI denied the allegations and declined to comment on the particulars of the face.
Charge Him
Buma, who worked for the FBI for 15 years, was arrested this week as he was getting ready to board a plane at JFK in New York.
He has been accused of printing more than 100 classified FBI documents and messages, then sharing that material with people regarding a book he wrote about his career in the FBI.
The filing stated, "The book draft contained information that BUMA obtained through his position as an FBI Special Agent that relates to the FBI's efforts and investigations into a foreign country's weapons of mass destruction (‘WMD’) program.
"On November 2, 2023, BUMA wrote an email to various personal associates assisting him in negotiating a book deal with a publishing company."
The report went on to say that he had also posted some of this material on social media. That, my friends, is what I like to call Karma. This is life leveling the playing field on a rogue agent who allowed politics to get in the way of his job at the FBI. No we just have to hope the charges hold up.
