FBI will investigate leaked intelligence report

Obviously, the big news last weekend was the attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities.

An intelligence report of “low confidence” was leaked after the attack, and now Trump is looking for a head on a platter.

Trump Says Dems Did it

When the first report came out, the media jumped all over it, mostly because it downplayed the effectiveness of the strike.

The report, which most major outlets reported on, had stated that at least two of the facilities were possibly functional, although the entrances had been caved in.

The premise was that Iran could dig through the rubble, possibly in just a few weeks, and get back to work.

Trump is now blaming Democrats for the leak, stating, “The Democrats are the ones who leaked the information on the PERFECT FLIGHT to the Nuclear Sites in Iran. They should be prosecuted!”

Ripping the Media

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth followed in Trump’s footsteps and went after the media for failing to vet the report as well as not waiting until the official assessments had been completed.

Hegseth stated, “Whether it’s fake news CNN, MSNBC or the New York Times, there’s been fawning of a preliminary assessment.

“It requires weeks to accumulate the necessary data to make such an assessment.”

Hegseth is dead right, and while I had made note of the leaked report, I had firmly stated that that it was way too early to be believing anything that we read, as there was simply no way to get a complete picture that early after the strikes, mostly due to the fact the bunkers are completely underground.

Call in the FBI

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt put the fear of God into the leaker this week, letting it be known that the FBI was taking on the task of finding and prosecuting the leaker.

She stated, "This administration wants to ensure that classified intelligence is not ending up in irresponsible hands, and that people who have the privilege of viewing this top secret classified information are being responsible with it.

"Clearly, someone who had their hands on this and it was a very few people, very few number of people in our government who saw this report. That person was irresponsible with it. And we need to get to the bottom of it. And we need to strengthen that process to protect our national security and protect the American public."

I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with because if the person involved has any affiliation with Democrats, Trump is going to go nuclear. Regardless, I am sick of these leaks, and I hope they drop the hammer on the person responsible for letting that information out.
