Footage released showing controversial migrant in possible human trafficking ring

Democrats have rallied behind Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, demanding that the Trump administration bring him back from El Salvador.

The administration has maintained that he is an MS-13 gang member, and several new pieces of evidence seem to support the administration’s claims.

The Dossier

In the early days of this case, the Trump administration kept its cards on Garcia very close to the vest, but that changed in mid-April.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) released the dossier it had on Garcia to back its claims, including his alleged gang name and rank.

The document stated, “Wearing the Chicago Bulls hat represents that they are a member in good standing with the MS-13.

“Officers contacted a past proven and reliable source of information, who advised Kilmar Armando ABREGO-GARCIA is an active member of MS-13 with the Westerns clique. The confidential source further advised that he is the rank of ‘Chequeo’ with the moniker of ‘Chele.'”

Audio of Wife’s Call

The media has done its best to portray Garcia as a “Maryland” family man, but recent reports revealed that his wife has filed at least two protection orders against him, fearing for her safety and that of her children.

There is audio of his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, explaining to the court, "On Wednesday, he hit me, like around like, three in the morning, he would just wake up and like, hit me.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded, "The ‘Maryland Man’ Hoax continues to get worse for the fake news, as we always said it would. Just imagine if we had more real journalists in this country who actually cared about digging for facts instead of pushing fabricated narratives to advance their political agenda.

“And shame on the Democrats for continuing to advocate for this illegal criminal, MS-13 gang member and wife beater.”

It Gets Worse

The most damning of all, however, came in the form of bodycam footage that was aired on Fox News last week.

In that footage, police sound convinced that Garcia was running illegals across the border, but according to Fox News’ Jesse Watters, calls were made to local police by officials in the Biden administration to allow the car to go free…

Now, Jesse Watters is not exactly the most reliable individual when it comes to reporting, and I would love his sources to go on record, but I doubt that will happen. Regardless, the woman in the passenger seat appears to be terrified, so I tend to believe the officers' hypothesis that Garcia was allegedly running bodies across the border.

This is the hill that Democrats have chosen to die on, and if the reporting on Garcia winds up being true, it could be the saving grace for Republicans in the 2026 mid-term elections. But if Trump got it wrong, well, who knows how deep the damage will run.
