Former FBI Agents Says Dems Rhetoric Led to Attempts on Trump’s Life

We always hear the media going after Donald Trump for his rhetoric, saying that it will lead to violence.

However, they never call out the rhetoric from the left on this matter, but a former FBI agent just did.

Not only that, he stated that he believes the constant calling of Trump being a danger to our democracy led to the threats on his life.

They Did It

Former FBI counterterrorism agent Tim Clemente discussed the assassination attempt against Donald Trump this weekend.

If you have not seen the story, the alleged assassin was within a few hundred yards of Trump with a scoped rifle, but he was intercepted before he could make an attempt on Trump’s life.

The alleged shooter has been tied to the left, so the natural question if is the rhetoric from Democrats contributed to the attempt.

Clemente stated, “It’s unprecedented in a civilized society, and I think we’re becoming more and more uncivilized, sadly, with the political diatribes that are going on and the political new indictments of either candidate.

“And sadly, the finger pointing at Trump has led to — you know — you know, the line about the blood — bloodbath, talking about the auto industry being used as if he’s going to create a bloody coup if he loses.

“That — that kind of — that kind of verbiage is something you use in a third world country when you’re talking about a dictator, and that sadly has led to, I think, these attempts on Trump’s life and I don’t think it’s going to end. I think we just have to realize, look, we’re political opponents.

“You and I might not agree on 50% of what we care about politically. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t mean we can’t be friends, neighbors, relatives, and have a regular dialogue every day.

“We have to get back to that talk about our differences, but not in a way that makes us feel like you’re the enemy and I’m all good.”

I have made much the same statement often about how one side is regularly called out, while Democrats are permitted to say whatever they want without question.

We can go back to the statements made by Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on the steps of the Supreme Court that many believe led to the violent threats against Justice Kavanaugh.

Even after this latest attempt against Trump, the mainstream media’s narrative was that it was time for Trump to dial down his rhetoric, not the Democrats.
