Former White House doctor says Biden needed to take cognitive test
Joe Biden took a physical just about every year he was in office, but he never took a cognitive test.
Now, a former White House doctor says that Biden should have been forced to take the test.
Fit for duty
When Biden was in office, Dr. Kevin C. O'Connor was the attending physician at the White House, and most people believed he was complicit in helping Biden cover up his mental decline.
After Biden took his last physical, O'Connor claimed he was “fit for duty.”
When Biden was asked about the physical, he responded, "There is nothing different than last year. Everything's great."
The Liar-in-Chief Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Biden taking a cognitive test, and she responded that Biden "passes a cognitive test every day.”
Not happening
Biden later sat down with ABC News, and the subject of taking a cognitive test came up.
Biden stated, "No. No one said I had to. No one said. They said I'm good."
This was the same interview where Biden blamed his debate performance on a bad night, claiming he was under the weather and had been tired from so much recent travel. At the time, I pushed back, stating that if he could not handle a debate and some travel, how would he be able to hold up under a real emergency when he could have to operate for days on only a few hours of sleep?
Biden then used his own talking point, stating, "Look. I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I'm running the world. Not – and that's not hi -- sounds like hyperbole, but we are the essential nation of the world."
Take the Test
A former White House doctor for Barack Obama, Jeffrey Kuhlman, disagreed with Biden’s assessment of the situation, saying that doctors should have given Biden the test.
He stated, "Sometimes those closest to the tree miss the forest.
"It shouldn’t be just health, it should be fitness. Fitness is: Do you have that robust mind, body, spirit that you can do this physically, mentally, emotionally demanding job?"
I could not agree more, and believe that Congress should pass legislation to make it part of the annual physical that any sitting president from this day moving forward be required to take a cognitive test with their annual physical. We simply cannot allow something like this to ever happen again.
