Fox News' Mark Levin attacks Trump for criticising Ukraine, insinuates Trump is supporting Putin
Fox News host Mark Levin broke with Trump over his recent attacks on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after Trump blasted Ukraine for their lack of cooperation over ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Declaring that “MAGA doesn’t support Putin," Levin is counter signaling Trump and seems to be implying that Trump is choosing sides in this conflict instead of working on bringing an end to a brutal and costly war.
The United States has spent billions supporting a questionable war that has cost the lives of an entire generation of Russian and Ukrainian men and Trump wants the killing to stop.
Trump is so committed to ending the war that he is doing what his predecessor wouldn't do and telling Ukraine "No" on their extensive list of unrealistic demands they want met for a peace deal.
Levin's bizarre insinuation that Trump is on the side of Russia and Vladimir Putin is expected from leftist talking heads, not a conservative who is supposedly one of Trump's strongest supporters.
End The War
Ukraine has made a laundry list of insane demands considering a large reason they have been able to hold up against Russia is because of the billions of dollars they have received from Western nations.
It has been estimated that the United States alone has spent nearly $200 billion in supporting Ukraine's defense. Without that unspeakably large cash infusion, it's hard to imagine that Ukraine would have been able to resist Russia's larger forces for this long.
However, instead of recognizing that they cannot stand alone and must make concessions to end this war, Ukraine has rebuffed many of Trump's solutions by sticking to their demands including a return to 2014 borders with Russia.
Levin ignored all of this to attack Trump saying, "I mean, this is almost comical in a sick way that Putin is demanding an election. Why is he demanding an election in Ukraine when he doesn’t have free and real elections in his own country? I don’t know why there are people that not only oppose Zelensky, but seem to support Putin."
Levin continued by saying, "MAGA doesn’t support Putin. Eighty-one percent of the American people do not trust Putin because 81% of the American people are smart."
While MAGA certainly doesn't support Putin, they also don't support Zelensky and his clear attempts at keeping the gravy train of American tax dollars flowing while young men die by the hundreds every day.
Neo-conservative Allegiance
Mark Levin's attack on Trump for his criticisms of Ukraine appears to be a mask-off moment as he is aligning himself with the neo-conservatives and leftists who were more than happy to fund Ukraine to the tune of billions of dollars.
If Ukraine is unwilling to accept some concessions and terms that Trump is presenting, it only makes sense for Trump to call them out and give more ground to Putin who has wisely been diplomatic in peace talks so far.
Levin isn't the only conservative hyperventilating over Trump attacking Ukraine with multiple figures taking to social media to attack Trump. Levin and his compatriots have an allegiance to Ukraine and are willing to smear Trump as a Putin crony for daring to prioritize American interests.
Trump promised that he would be America First in all areas of policy and that starts with ending the war in Ukraine even if it means giving Putin a few hundred miles of Ukrainian territory that is worthless to the American taxpayer.
