House panel wants to name opera house after Melania Trump
Get ready for some serious outrage on the left, my friends.
Melania Trump is, by far, the most beautiful first lady we have ever had, but the media and Democrats torch her every chance they get. Not only that, but fashion magazines have blacklisted her, even though for the first time ever, they had a former supermodel to work with.
Well, that is surely going to get put on steroids after a huge announcement from the House.
Ignore her
One would think having a former supermodel in the White House would be fashion gold, but that was not the case with Melania Trump. She should have been on every fashion magazine cover in existence as the first lady, but the only time she made the news for fashion is when she was deemed to have made a fashion mistake.
And if you thought it would get any better the second time, think again.
After Melania posed for a new White House picture, Vogue ripped her, stating, "Trump’s clothing certainly didn’t help the boardroom pastiche. The first lady wore a black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo jacket with satin trimmed lapels over a white button-up, which she paired with a Ralph Lauren cummerbund and trousers."
In my opinion, Melania looked amazing in those photos, and she surely looked better than Jill Biden, someone who the magazines have gushed over for the last four years.
Par for the course
This was just a continuation of what happened during the first term, as outlets ridiculed and criticized her every chance they had.
The Guardian had stated, “Given all that, you might deem it inconsiderate – selfish, even – for Melania to stay in the city past the inauguration.”
Bustle posted, “Selfishness doesn’t even begin to cover it, really.”
And that does not even begin to cover the roasting of the first lady on late-night TV, not to mention the snubs of the former model by every fashion magazine there is.
Name it after Melania
On Tuesday, the House took steps to immortalize the first lady.
The House Appropriations Committee stated, “Naming the Opera House at the Kennedy Center after [Melania Trump] is an excellent way to recognize the first lady’s appreciation for the arts.
“I am proud to honor her support and commitment in promoting the arts and humanities.”
I am going to go out on a limb and say this will not get any support among Democrats, so I very much look forward to this being fought out in Congress.
